Smart Monitoring That Keeps Your Network Running Smoothly
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about ManageEngine OpManager is its user-friendly interface combined with powerful, real-time network monitoring capabilities. It provides excellent visibility into network devices, servers, and applications through intuitive dashboards, making it easy to identify and troubleshoot issues quickly. Features like automated alerts, customizable reports, and seamless integration with other tools help improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Overall, it simplifies complex network management tasks while ensuring reliable performance monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about ManageEngine OpManager is that some advanced features and integrations can be complex to configure and may require additional time to fully understand. The UI, while user-friendly overall, can occasionally feel cluttered when managing large environments. Additionally, certain features are locked behind higher-tier licenses, which can increase costs. At times, alerting can generate noise if not finely tuned, making it necessary to spend extra effort on customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine OpManager helps solve the challenge of monitoring and managing complex IT infrastructure from a single platform. It provides real-time visibility into network devices, servers, and applications, allowing quick identification of issues like downtime, performance degradation, or bandwidth bottlenecks. This benefits me by reducing troubleshooting time, improving network uptime, and enabling proactive issue resolution through alerts and notifications. It also helps in better resource planning and reporting, ensuring smooth operations and minimizing business impact due to unexpected outages.
Reliable and Efficient Network Monitoring with Strong Visibility
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about ManageEngine OpManager is its strong protocol-based monitoring using SNMP, WMI, and CLI, which provides real-time visibility into network and server performance. Its automated discovery, centralized dashboard, and threshold-based alerting help in quick fault detection and efficient troubleshooting, making it a reliable tool for maintaining network availability.
What do you dislike about the product?
One limitation of ManageEngine OpManager is that its advanced features—such as deep analytics, network configuration management, and flow monitoring—often require additional modules or licensing, which can increase overall cost and complexity. The UI can sometimes feel less intuitive when handling large-scale environments, and customization of dashboards and reports may not be as flexible as expected, making it slightly challenging to tailor for specific enterprise needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine OpManager solves key challenges like lack of real-time visibility, delayed fault detection, and complex troubleshooting in network environments. It provides centralized monitoring of devices using SNMP, WMI, and other protocols, along with proactive alerts for performance issues such as high CPU, bandwidth congestion, or device downtime. This benefits me by reducing mean time to detect and resolve issues (MTTD/MTTR), improving network uptime, and enabling faster root cause analysis, which ultimately ensures stable and secure network operations.
Simple, Eco-Friendly Monitoring Across All Networking Devices
What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use and very eco-friendly, with lots of options for monitoring and keeping track of all your networking devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have to purchase a lot of license specially for wan interface monitoring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don’t have to log in to every networking device just to monitor it. Once a device is discovered, it automatically gives me all the alerts I need to keep my devices in an UP status and maintain 100% uptime.
Proactive Network Monitoring with Improved Visibility and Faster Incident Resolution
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about ManageEngine OpManager is its practical usability in day-to-day operations. The interface is simple enough for L1 teams to handle alerts, yet powerful enough for deeper troubleshooting when needed. It gives clear visibility of device health, bandwidth usage, and interface status in one place, which reduces the time spent switching between tools. The alerting system is reliable and customizable, helping us respond quickly to outages or performance issues. Overall, it balances functionality and ease of use without being overly complex or expensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area that could be improved in ManageEngine OpManager is the reporting and dashboard customization. While the tool provides many built-in reports, creating highly customized or executive-level reports sometimes requires extra effort and is not always very flexible. This can impact management presentations, as teams may need to export data and manually adjust it in Excel.
Another limitation is alert noise. If thresholds are not fine-tuned properly, OpManager can generate a high number of alerts, especially in large environments. This may lead to alert fatigue for the operations team and increases the time required to filter out non-critical notifications.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before implementing ManageEngine OpManager, we relied on manual monitoring and reactive troubleshooting, often identifying issues only after users reported them, which increased downtime and resolution time. There was limited visibility into device health, bandwidth usage, and server performance, and reporting required significant manual effort. After deployment, we gained centralized, real-time monitoring with automated alerts, enabling proactive issue detection and faster root cause analysis. As a result, incident detection time reduced by nearly 40–50%, MTTR improved by around 30%, and manual reporting effort dropped by about 50%, leading to better uptime, improved operational efficiency, and more time for strategic tasks instead of daily firefighting.
Real-Time Network Visibility with Simple, Reliable Monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
It gives me real-time visibility into the health of my network and servers. The dashboards are easy to understand, and the alerts help me quickly detect and fix issues before they affect users. It makes monitoring simple and reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial setup can be a bit complex, and sometimes the system feels slow when handling large environments. Grouping devices and editing group names is a complex and time-consuming task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OpManager helps me solve the problem of not knowing the real-time health of my network and servers. It monitors devices, alerts me about issues instantly, and shows clear reports. This saves time, reduces downtime, and makes troubleshooting faster.

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the main drawbacks is that initial setup and fine-tuning can be time-consuming, especially in large or complex environments. Configuring proper thresholds, alert policies, and device templates requires careful planning to avoid excessive or noisy alerts.
The UI can feel a bit heavy or slow when managing a large number of devices, and some advanced configurations are not very intuitive. In some cases, custom reporting and deep-level troubleshooting require additional effort or scripting, which may not be straightforward for all users.
Also, while OpManager offers many features, some advanced monitoring and integrations are available only in higher editions or as add-ons, which can increase overall licensing costs.
