What do you like best about the product?

What I like best about Jitsi is its browser-based approach and ease of access. In my work, I often need to join or host meetings quickly for project discussions, troubleshooting sessions, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder communication. Being able to create a meeting link and have participants join without installing software or creating accounts significantly reduces setup time.

Screen sharing is one of the features I use most frequently. During technical reviews, design discussions, and issue resolution sessions, it allows participants to collaborate efficiently and review information in real time. I also appreciate the platform's privacy controls and open-source flexibility, which provide more control compared to many commercial alternatives.

From a performance perspective, Jitsi generally delivers stable audio and video quality for everyday meetings. What do you dislike about the product?

One area that could be improved is performance consistency during larger meetings. For smaller team discussions, the platform works well, but larger sessions may occasionally experience audio or video quality fluctuations depending on participant count and network conditions.

The user interface is functional but could be modernized in certain areas to improve discoverability of advanced features. Additional built-in workflow integrations and more advanced meeting management capabilities would also be beneficial for organizations with complex collaboration requirements.

Before using Jitsi, organizing meetings often involved account requirements, software installations, and additional setup steps that slowed collaboration. This created unnecessary friction when arranging quick discussions or inviting external participants.

Jitsi simplified this process by providing browser-based video conferencing with simple meeting links. Teams can collaborate, share screens, conduct training sessions, review projects, and communicate with stakeholders without requiring extensive setup or licensing overhead.

As a result, meeting coordination has become faster, onboarding new participants requires less effort, and communication is more accessible across teams. The platform helps reduce operational costs while maintaining reliable collaboration capabilities, which improves productivity and supports more efficient project execution.

What I like most about Jitsi is its simple, user-friendly interface. It offers stable video and audio quality, makes it easy to set up meetings, and supports smooth collaboration features like screen sharing and chat. What do you dislike about the product?

One thing I dislike about Jitsi is that the call quality can occasionally become unstable during large meetings or low internet connectivity. Sometimes there are minor issues with audio synchronization and performance compared to other conferencing tools.

What do you like best about the product?

As an IT professional, I have always search for similar platforms opposed to mainstream ie; Microsoft Teams etc. I either use Jitsi or Google Meets, both which has came a long way to be comparable to Teams.

What do you dislike about the product?

Using Jitsi for aver 5 years, we use to have bad lag when having online meetings exceeding a dozen or so people, now they have solved that issue and we recently had a 45 member meeting with no issues.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Whether you have an account or the ability to use it free online, it works for the individual or business that is small and just starting out without a big overhead expense.

What do you like best about the product?

It’s seamless and works out of the box. You just go to the website, choose a unique meeting name, and join.

With other providers, you often need authentication and extra steps that make getting started harder. On top of that, it works well on a low-bandwidth connection. I had to attend an academic interview with poor network conditions, and the interviewer suggested using Jitsi.

The UI can be made smoother, and modern for non techie guys to understand

It solves the problem of video calls. It makes it easy to setup a instant call and works great even under low bandwidth conditions

I appreciate that Jitsi works in the browser, so I don't have to install apps most of the time. The platform’s interface feels just right—not too crowded or clumped with features but still does the job well enough. It is also trusted by our organization because it’s open source and hostable without signing in. The initial setup was pretty easy with not much required.

What do you dislike about the product?

The limit on users is sometimes an issue for hosting webinars or conferences. I would appreciate if holding a work email or corporate account gave a larger user capacity.

I use Jitsi for meetings since it's open source, doesn't require sign-in, and works in a browser, avoiding app installations. Its simple interface prevents overwhelm for non-tech users.

What I value most about Jitsi is the complete infrastructure control paired with robust privacy and open-source flexibility — it aligns perfectly with our engineering protocols and strict GDPR standards at Celonis SE. The biggest advantage is being able to self-host entirely on our own AWS and Kubernetes stack. All meeting traffic, session data, and recordings stay within our EU-based environment, with zero third-party exposure. As a German enterprise tech company, this completely eliminates GDPR and data residency concerns, something mainstream commercial conferencing tools can’t match without complex, costly enterprise agreements. I also love that it’s fully browser-native. There’s no mandatory app download or forced account creation. Team members, remote engineers, and external contractors can join any meeting just by clicking a link. It cuts down on onboarding friction and works flawlessly for quick code reviews, ad-hoc technical syncs, and architecture discussions. On top of that, Jitsi has no per-user licensing fees. It lets us scale video collaboration across our large engineering team effortlessly, with no extra overhead or recurring costs.

What do you dislike about the product?

While Jitsi excels at privacy and self-hosting, it still has noticeable drawbacks for enterprise daily use. First, native enterprise integrations are extremely limited. It doesn’t connect seamlessly with our core workflow tools like Jira, Confluence, or our internal SSO platform. We can’t auto-sync meeting calendars or link meeting notes directly to project tasks, so all scheduling and documentation has to be done manually. Second, scalability for larger meetings needs heavy manual tuning. Small team syncs run smoothly, but once participant count hits 40 to 50+, our DevOps team has to manually adjust bridge settings and Kubernetes resource allocation. There’s no reliable out-of-the-box auto-scaling, which adds extra engineering workload for large technical workshops and cross-company sessions. Third, its API and workflow automation capabilities are fairly basic. The existing APIs work for simple use cases, but they lack advanced webhook triggers and flexible endpoints to automate routine tasks like bulk room creation, permission management, or log exporting. This forces us to build custom workaround scripts to fit our internal pipelines.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Jitsi primarily for private internal video meetings and technical discussions. By self-hosting on our AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, it fully solves our GDPR and cross-border data residency challenges. All sensitive meeting data remains internal to our controlled environment, lowering compliance risks significantly and simplifying internal security audits.

Anyone can use it without even downloading an app

The UI isn't as intuitive as MS Teams or Zoom

Better audio transmission and the recording feature have made a real difference for me. I’m in frequent meetings, and audio troubles used to happen far more often than they do now. The integration allows for AI note taking too, which is a plus.

I love Jitsi because it's easy and requires no sign-in. I can just create a meeting, share the link, and it's done. It's very fast with no need for downloads or logins, making collaboration pure, fast, and immediate. I appreciate how simple it is to share the link for easy collaboration, without needing to download anything or create an account. Jitsi is simple, small, easy, and very handy. The setup process is straightforward, just go to the site, create a link, and share it, which is quite easy to handle.

What do you dislike about the product?

Call stability, when large group meeting is held it lags and video streaming quality can be fixed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Jitsi is fast and easy, with no signup or download needed. I just create a meeting, share the link, and collaborate instantly. It's simple and small, avoiding the bulky hassle of other software.

Easy to setup the meeting and the security.

UI is not so much intuitive and its not easy to navigate.
