Workflow automation has boosted invoice processing but still needs finer approval routing

    Reviewed on Jul 04, 2026
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I used Palette for accounts payable workflow approval processing at my previous company.

A specific example of how I used Palette for accounts payable workflow or approval processing is that OCR brings the invoice into the system and sends it on an approval path throughout the company. When it is done being approved, it would then be uploaded into the ERP system for payment.

Palette was used to approve invoices, AP invoices, load them into the system, save on manual data entry, and improve efficiency on processing accounts payable invoices.

    What is most valuable?

The best features Palette offers include the ability to increase the amount of accounts payable invoices that you can process in a month compared to doing it manually.

Palette helps increase the number of invoices processed mainly through automation; it is able to do it faster than a human being entering it manually.

Palette has positively impacted my organization by increasing the ability to process more accounts payable invoices, stopping the reliance on emails and paper trails. All approval is done in the system, and you have control over who and what is in the approval process.

I can share a specific outcome regarding Palette: we were able to produce 50% more invoices in the same amount of time. I do not know that it does 100% correct coding of invoices because sometimes you had to review them and change them, but it did help with the quantity that you can produce in any given time.

    What needs improvement?

Palette can be improved as it does not have the ability to do very specific routing for invoices; in my case, I had multiple offices with multiple paths, and you had to know which particular office it was for. Depending upon the type of vendor invoice it was, sometimes it was difficult to know what path to put it on, so you need more detail in the approval matrix when you can set it up.

I chose a 7 out of 10 because the approval matrix and the routing of invoices with specific customization were a bit lacking; I feel I needed more of that to be able to go into more detail on a per vendor basis or a per dollar value basis.

Regarding Palette's AI capabilities, I definitely experienced some automation features related to accuracy. Due to the lack of flexibility in the building of the approval matrix, there was no way for it to code things 100% correctly, so intervention and review from a person were always necessary.

For how long have I used the solution?

I do not currently use Palette, but I used it for two years at a previous company.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    Palette is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Palette's scalability is good; it would be able to flex with growth or decrease.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not previously use a different solution before Palette; we were pretty manual at the time using email to do approvals and manual data entry into the system.

    What was our ROI?

I have not seen a return on investment; we kept the same amount of employees, but we were able to process more, which allowed us to grow without having to add additional employees.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I was not involved in Palette's pricing, setup cost, and licensing, but given that it had already been set up in our European entity, I do not believe we had additional costs to set it up in our office.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing Palette, we did not evaluate other options because our European entity was already using it; we just adopted what they had already set up.

What other advice do I have?

Palette is a pretty good accounts payable processing system.

I think Palette was sufficient to do the job we needed to accomplish.

My biggest advice for others looking into using Palette is to make sure that the setup of the approval matrix is in great working condition because it is extremely important to the accuracy of the output received from the system.

I gave this product a rating of 7 out of 10.

Unified Dashboard and Automated Management Make Kubernetes Easy

    Reviewed on Nov 13, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The unified management dashboard has been the most helpful feature for us. It allowed us to oversee our Kubernetes clusters on both AWS and our on-premise servers without the need to switch between different tools. Additionally, the automated lifecycle management for clusters saved us a considerable amount of time when performing upgrades.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the learning curve for the advanced features to be quite steep. Locating the exact documentation needed for integrating with our CI/CD pipeline proved difficult, and we ended up contacting the support team more than once to get everything functioning as it should.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We faced challenges with inconsistent cluster configurations in our various environments, including development, staging, and production. These inconsistencies resulted in security vulnerabilities and the classic 'it-works-on-my-machine' issues. Palette addressed these problems by allowing us to enforce standardized Cluster Profiles. The biggest advantage is that our platform team can now ensure all clusters adhere to our security policies, while developers benefit from a consistent environment.

Governance and Multicluster Scalability with Ease

    Reviewed on Nov 09, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy Spectro Cloud Palette for its ability to provision, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters efficiently across multiple environments, whether on-premises, in the cloud, or at the edge. The declarative profiles that encapsulate the entire stack allow me exceptional portability, and the centralized security policies ensure proper governance. These aspects help me eliminate drift between clusters and accelerate provisioning and controlled updates, with rollback capability. I highly value that Spectro Cloud Palette offers unified RBAC and SSO, project and team segmentation, and robust validation, which significantly simplifies management and enhances security. The complete lifecycle automation is another aspect I appreciate, as it facilitates controlled updates, also providing solid multi-cluster and multi-cloud governance, which I find powerful and well-structured.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the initial learning curve is steep for teams without experience in Kubernetes or infrastructure as code. Although the user interface is powerful, certain bulk operations continue to be more convenient through the API or CLI. Additionally, I believe there is a lack of consistency and parity in the sense that every function available in the user interface should also be in the API/CLI with stable versions without delays. I would like to see official SDKs expanded and better maintained.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Spectro Cloud Palette to provision, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments. It helps me standardize and simplify provisioning, eliminates drift between clusters, and accelerates controlled upgrades. Additionally, it enhances centralized security and governance.

    spectro clould palette review

What do you like best about the product?
Overall Spectro Cloud Palette has been a great addition to our organization. As a organization fairly new to Kubernetes Spectro Cloud staff have really gone above and beyond to understand our use cases and desired business outcomes and plan solutions not just with palette but also Kubernetes. The support staff has been very knowledgeable whenever we have had an issue. The product itself has some useful features that i have not seen in other platforms.

    1. The profile system with variables is a great way to maintain consistency between our clusters. it makes things repeatable and easy for less expert users to deploy. once you create your base profile the cluster builder just needs to fill out the right variables and doesn't need to know all the details of the configuration. i like to keep a lot of my cluster level configurations in a profile so i can easily see what is configured

    2. Packs are a great edition. palette has packs for most of the popular add-ons. its easier to manage then directly using helm charts and the pack default settings are usually pretty on point. we use the airgap packs which is nice that we don't need to fight with helm to make it pull everything locally.
What do you dislike about the product?
    1. New spectro could versions of kubernetes and third party packs can sometimes take some time to be released. while this is understandable as they do testing it can sometimes be frustrating if you are waiting on new features in those products that have been release by the vendor but the pack hasn't been updated yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
making Kubernetes manageable by a team who was not super experienced with the technology in the beginning.

What do you like best about the product?
Its decentralization nature of plugging different components to make any kubernetes cluster production ready. Its support for virtualization is add-on value to the customers. The support from Palette Team is exceptional. We were able to implement it in few clicks and start using it. We still need to evaluate the frequency of usage of the product in our production.

Its not out-of-readiness to support Talos Kubernetes Variant to create clusters.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Container Platform Management on finger tips. There could be improvisation for adapters for expanding Palette to support multiple architectures.
