Turbot is used for automation in RPA across different domains including retail, retail banking operations, real estate, and various business use cases on airline portals.

In the retail banking domain, Turbot handles the reconciliation process, which previously involved huge manual operations prone to human errors. The reconciliation process has been converted into automation with the help of RPA using Turbot.

Regarding airline automations, Turbot serves the live feeds of airlines and caters to meal services. Depending on the preferences users have provided for meal selections, they are served by the catering service and delivered when they board the flight.

Turbot's best feature is its ease of use and simple installation process, as it is a no-code, low-code platform. It is well integrated with all libraries that can be used directly with drag and drop feature availability, including Excel automation, Outlook automation, reading and writing emails, and automating web portals with the Universal Recorder feature, which records all applications using one single recorder whether it is a desktop application, web application, or mainframe application.

The Universal Recorder has positively impacted my daily work and my team's productivity because we do not have to rely on any other recorder and have consistency of the XPath and web element capturing. It automatically captures depending on the target application. Users do not have to do anything else; they just have to start the recorder, click on the actions, and things will get recorded easily.

Another feature of Turbot is the low-code Cockpit web application, which provides a real pictorial view of all the bots on the dashboards, showing what is running, what is in progress, what is paused or failed. It has a continuous notification system in case of failures and successful bot executions, and includes a user management feature with role-based access control.

Since integrating with Turbot, our organization has benefited by reducing the FTE percentage from 5% of the manual team using it. We have cut down almost 20 FTE resources, which has saved our costs, and the integration of automation with Turbot has served significantly in the cost optimization part.

These cost savings and resource reductions were seen within a year of implementing Turbot. The specific process that benefited the most was related to retail operations of reconciliation of the manual books.

Turbot integrates well with all other applications such as Excel, Outlook, the S3 bucket of AWS, and other API applications, which can be easily integrated with the help of REST API and SOAP components directly available. It also has a rich feature for developing custom libraries and components which are easily accessible through the toolbox of the application.

Turbot has rich documentation with user guides that can be directly followed, and there are YouTube videos now published on Turbot application on how to get started and how to begin with one single RPA bot to convert manual tasks into automation.

The support system of Turbot needs more improvement in terms of raising SLA tickets and maintaining the TAT should get a little more refined, but not in respect to features, as rest of all things are good.

Turbot should have a community site because it is currently missing from the application. Such a site would allow users to write down their queries and get responses globally. It should have a centralized community where users can start publishing their queries and get responses.

I have been using Turbot for almost six years.

Turbot is quite stable. We have scaled from five to ten bots, to 100, to 200, to 500 bots currently in production, so it is very scalable for us.

Turbot handles scaling up or down based on our workload needs pretty well. It has managed scalability effectively in terms of the processes and workflows we have automated so far.

Regarding Turbot's AI capabilities, I see that it has guardrails in place, and depending on the region's specifics of the users, they maintain security and governance at a very high standard in terms of AI capabilities, governance, and compliance.

We handle compliance requirements effectively; it helps to regularize the standards and everything. We have our internal process in dealing with compliance and governance, including a CAB and advisory body to approve all requests, maintaining everything in place with respect to security and PII data.

Previously, we evaluated UiPath and Automation Anywhere, but unfortunately, they had higher licensing costs, which is why we chose Turbot over them.

We update or upgrade Turbot in our environment on a quarterly basis, and the process is very smooth; it does not take more than 30 minutes of downtime to upgrade the application.

We have saved significantly on the FTE part; originally, our reconciliation team had 50 members, which we have reduced by 50%, so we currently have only 25 team members doing the reconciliation. On the cost part, it has a very low license cost, and everything has been enhanced with the implementation of bot agents.

For others looking into using Turbot, I would advise them to definitely move forward due to the budget; it has very low licensing costs and implementation due to its low-code, no-code platform, which can be easily implemented by any citizen developers.

Currently, I do not see any improvements needed for Turbot; everything regarding performance is providing great services for us. The review rating given for this product is 8.

One of the best helpful products offering credential management and data protection capabilities. Extremely user-friendly and customizable tool.

Apart from slight slowness issues, everything seems great.

Mainly helping us with compliance & securing customers' remote environments.

What do you like best about the product?

It has flexible options of enforcement of policies, quick alerts, and can prevent certain issues from happening. It saves a ton of time because it does not require a large team of developers and admins to manageIt has a single pane of glass view into the multi-cloud environment and provides visibility and transparency the cloud environment.

What do you dislike about the product?

It can be frustrating for account users who are not familiar with the policies and boundaries set by Turbot, especially when they try to follow tutorials or scripts from AWS or other sources. It does not provide feedback when it intervenes to modify requests, which can make debugging difficult.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has a customer-driven approach and can deliver new features within 3 to 6 months.

It is a good tool for a single pane of glass view for my multi-cloud environment. i would recommend this tool to anyone concerned about their Security and Control.

This tool is a bit tough in terms of management for newer people who can use it. This needs to improve.

I really like having single-sign-on options in general, so that's a plus! It helps you with credential management and also has a monitoring system and data protection capabilities, so it's very user friendly and you can really customize usage for what you need / what you want!

It's not that I dislike the service, there are just other providers (such as Okta or Duo) that provide really similar capabilities that I like better. I feel like those were easier to implement across our whole company.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Especially in a remote environment, it's really important to have tooling that you can rely on and trust to store, manage, alert, and improve usability and ease of storage across all employee locations.

What do you like best about the product?

Turbot has understood the details of cloud governance nuances. I have used other products in this area as well, but I found that those products were developed by someone who has not actually faced the issues of policies and enforcement of the policies and why its critical to do it right. Turbot clearly has flexible options of ENFORCEMENT of policies, quick alerts, can prevent certain issues from happening, and it has the right level of 'levers' that can help me get my AWS cloud governance right. Secondly, it saves a TON of time because I dont have to worry about SCALING my policies across my organisation.
Overall, I am thrilled with Turbot!

What do you dislike about the product?

Turbot has been like the hidden gem. Would have preferred detailed videos and blogs explaining all the values clearly so that we could have learnt more info earlier. Turbot should work with TechTarget and other similar technical forums to ensure more people are aware of Turbot solutions.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Two very clear benefits:
1. Policies can be enforced reducing operational cost
2. One can achieve scaling of policy management across the entire organisation without sacrificing real time alerts!
3. Out of the box CIS and other compliance rules make it easy to get started.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are as lazy as I am, and do not like repetitive stuff, go for Turbot.

What do you like best about the product?

Turbot has been very easy to maintain, and doesn't require constant attention. It just works. Turbot was the easiest "guardrail" tool that I have had involvement with implementing.

What do you dislike about the product?

Some policies seem to only alert and not change settings. I realize this is for safety, but it would be nice to be able to override some of these. (Note: this may be a v3 limitation that v5 has fixed.)

Turbot allows our team to place "guardrails" on cloud service usage, enforce reules like encryption, etc. -- all without human interaction.

What do you like best about the product?

The single pain of glass view I receive into my multi cloud environment is astounding and not like anything else I have seen. Turbot's CI/CD pipeline has stood the test of time and greatly provides us with rich feature sets within acceptable time frames.

What do you dislike about the product?

Turbot while being almost perfect we all know that's hard to do, so i can state that i would like to see better metrics on items so that proving the TCO of the product every year would be easier.

I would recommended Turbot to anyone who is thinking of going or is already in the cloud who is concerned with their security and lack of control. Turbot makes management of a multi cloud environment obtainable without having to hire a 15 person group of developers and admins.
