What do you like best about the product?

Very customisable for your needs. Users like that it is also linked to Teams for the alerts. Can help clear repeatable tasks and unify different areas of the business under a single team.

What do you dislike about the product?

There’s a lot to it, and at times the modules don’t always stay in sync with each other, likely because they’re handled by different development teams.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It’s constantly evolving, with new changes happening all the time. The UI has improved a lot, and some features from one module are now carrying through to others. For example, library controls from the Controls module now have the same default description settings as those in Cross comply, which makes it easier to use a single set.

What do you like best about the product?

Optro was well priced within the market and gives us so much functionality for the value. We have never had a performance issue, and when we do run into small bugs the service team is quick to respond. The AI help feature is excellent as well. From a functionality standpoint, I really love how all of our controls are easily linked to the regulations that we need to comply with. We are also able to quickly re-use evidence across the platform reducing audit fatigue across our stakeholder teams.

What do you dislike about the product?

The use of AI within the platform itself could be better (disclosure, we do not purchase the "extra" AI, which may be better). Also, in some cases it's not clear how to setup permissions to enable our users to do what they need to do; however, as previously mentioned the AI help feature has been incredibly helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Allows us to see all of controls, risks, and testing in one place. All of this can be linked to our IT Assets, locations, etc. Further, we can see the impact that our work has on our regulatory obligations and where we potentially have gaps.

What do you like best about the product?

I love the workflows and the email prompting for due dates

What do you dislike about the product?

Customizing items or undoing what has already been created can be tough

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps with our issue management process - reducing late issue remediation and tracking off issue due dates, remediation, validation, etc.

What do you like best about the product?

Optro has many abilities that can be explored and leveraged for every team. Using it from the Auditor perspective, a consolidated platform is very helpful for Audits, Issue Mgmt, Dashboarding, Risk Assessments, Risk and Control Libraries and AI usage.

What do you dislike about the product?

As Optro has focused on more AI itineraries, their customer service has declined. Sales pitches are more obviously sales pitches and less customer-friendly onboarding experiences. Additionally, automated roll-out of un-announced changes has multiple times driven questions from team members about aesthetic or functionality changes within the system.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Communication with our clients has improved, but not to the level we anticipated. Many auditors still prefer to obtain documentation and perform testing offline and upload into Optro after the fact. We appreciate the lifecycles that incorporate Reviewer and 2nd Reviewer - whether it be for Risk Assessments, Issues or Tasks: all ancillary pieces that we didn't have before.

What do you like best about the product?

I use Optro for documenting field work, reviewing work papers, project management, follow-up, and keeping a repository of information. I find it simple and easy to use, user-friendly, and easy to navigate. It helps me work more efficiently and saves time.

What do you dislike about the product?

When I save documents, it times out frequently, so I lose work and have to redo it. I’d like the timeout frequency changed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Optro for project management, reviewing work papers, documenting field work, follow-ups, and keeping a repository of information. It’s simple and easy to navigate, and helps make my workflow more efficient and save time.

What do you like best about the product?

Organization of audit worksteps and having AI built into different worksteps.

What do you dislike about the product?

It's not as customizable as I'd like. I'd want to embed AI into any workstep I'd like, especially in case there's a new step added to the audit process that we don't know about until later (e.g. a new alternative to process flows that we hadn't thought of, or that management at our company is requiring us to adopt). I also don't know if I have the ability to tell the AI "I want to complete this workstep in a way that's very similar to X audit which was completed previously." Our auditors have a particular way of phrasing and organizing our work, and sometimes the AI doesn't fully catch onto that.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Optro is solving the problems of how to get an AI embedded into our work environment to reduce the need to go back and forth with Copilot all day. It's also creating a convenient place to organize most details and workstreams related to our audits.

What do you like best about the product?

I use Optro as our source of truth, so version control issues no longer exist, and I can see our controls and risks across different projects. I find it very user friendly, easy to use, and easy to understand for my core team and other stakeholders. We moved from spreadsheets, Excel, and SharePoint folders to Optro, and even with around 100 stakeholders, everyone adopted it easily. That made my life much easier. The workflow management works very well, as do the access management configurations and settings. Information requests, confirmations for remediation tracking, surveys, and other requests that we used to send by email are handled within Optro. I also think the AI features they’re working on will make it even easier to use.

What do you dislike about the product?

I find some of Optro’s settings and business requirements restrictive. For workflows, I have to use a pre-configured template, and sometimes I need to go through an audit step to create a workflow with one. I’d like to have all the templates available at once. Setup was moderately easy, but there were more requirements than I expected, even though it went smoothly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Optro is our source of truth, so version control issues no longer exist. It also gives us a connected risk platform with visibility into all our controls and risks across different projects.

What do you like best about the product?

I like how easy Optro is to use and navigate, and how easy it is to learn. I value the combined risk mapping, team and business partner collaboration, Ops Hub, business partner surveys and document requests, issue mapping, and testing. I’m looking forward to testing the AI features.

What do you dislike about the product?

I sometimes run into short timeouts with OptroSync and lose work. Two people can't be in the same file at the same time, and TreeView can be hard to navigate sometimes.

I use Optro for combined risk mapping and collaboration with my team and business partners.

The implementation team is well-structured and consistently helpful throughout the process.

It doesn’t have an impersonation feature like ServiceNow does.

What do you dislike about the product?

I love the annotate in Excel feature but I wish there was not a limit on the Excel file size. It lets me upload large Excel files to other pages in Optro so why does it not work with annotate?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is helping us with our control documentation and keeping everything in one place. The tools allow us to be consistent throughout the team!
