What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate how it integrates risk assessment, incident management, and reporting into a single platform. It does its job well by centralizing all our audit information in one place. I also like that we didn’t have to build all of our compliance programs from scratch, which saved us a lot of time during setup and made getting started much easier.

What do you dislike about the product?

I haven’t had any problems so far, and you don’t need to be a programmer to build workflows in this application, which is a big plus. On top of that, it has adapted perfectly as our compliance obligations have grown.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows me to complete my daily work without having to search through multiple spreadsheets throughout the day. It’s especially useful because it keeps everything organized and helps me save time for more important tasks. It has also made it easier for us to provide clear visibility to regulators and internal stakeholders.

What do you like best about the product?

I love how simple and practical Optro is for everyone. The interface is intuitive and customizable, which makes it easy to manage processes efficiently. I also find it extremely useful that I can create and tailor workflows without any programming knowledge. On top of that, being able to quickly adjust assessments, approvals, and issue tracking whenever needed is truly invaluable.

What do you dislike about the product?

I’d say it still relies quite heavily on manual evidence collection rather than continuous, automated monitoring. That said, it can be tailored to the specific needs of each business, and you don’t have to be a programmer to create workflows or adjust them as needed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It lets me manage risk, compliance, and audits all in one place. The workflow automation is powerful and helps my small team work smarter, not harder. It has also helped reduce audit delays, eliminate redundant controls, and cut down the time needed to complete risk assessments, which saves us a significant amount of time overall.

What do you like best about the product?

It’s easy to use and navigate. The dashboard is especially helpful for quickly checking the company’s compliance status. In addition, the platform’s ability to store all information online removes the need for physical documents, and the fully automated approval process significantly streamlines our workflows.

What do you dislike about the product?

I honestly have nothing bad to say. Optro really listens to its customers’ opinions, and I think that’s a big reason they’ve improved the product so much and keep making it better. Support is excellent as well—you get a quick response whenever you have a question.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has automated most of our recurring compliance processes, which has noticeably reduced our workload. It also gives us a clear, well-organized overview of our compliance programs, including risk management and security audits. On top of that, its task-tracking features are robust and work smoothly alongside accurate reminders, helping us stay on top of what needs to be done.

I like that it gives us clear visibility into our controls so we can confirm they meet the company’s security standards. The interface is straightforward, which makes it easy for teams to navigate, stay organized, and track incidents. It also helps us see how our controls align with regulatory requirements and industry frameworks.

What do you dislike about the product?

The performance is impressive when it comes to real-time monitoring, and the initial setup was straightforward, which is always a plus. The AI features, while promising, are still under development and aren’t consistently reliable across all modules.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps us identify and map operational, financial, and IT threats before they impact the business. It also highlights existing weaknesses in our environment and enables us to implement controls quickly. Furthermore, it continuously monitors our company’s compliance with complex international regulations.

All topics in the fieldwork are not applicable to every audit and can't be removed.

What do you like best about the product?

I like having so many tools to make my job easier integrated into one system. Having all of my policies managed by the same system that houses my audit standards makes it much easier to ensure that everything is covered in policy and that we can easily locate proof at audit time. Being able to connect risk to those same frameworks and policies gives me an even greater sense of confidence in our overall compliance health. I appreciate the level of control given to me over individual permissions.

What do you dislike about the product?

The policy management system could use a bit of work. A keyword search within policies would be a huge improvement. Also, the ability to retire/archive a policy with a note on when and why would be helpful, rather than just deleting it and keeping a separate record and archive. I appreciate the level of control given to me over individual permissions, but a more robust profile system that covers basic needs and scenarios would be helpful. It's easy to get in over your head trying to fix a small problem and end up with a mess to sort through.

Optro solves information sharing and cross-departmental collaboration issues. It integrates policy management with audit standards, ensuring comprehensive coverage and easy access during audits. Linking risks to frameworks and policies boosts my confidence in compliance health.

What do you like best about the product?

I like the ease of use of the platform. The action plan follow-up works great, allowing us to have automatic notifications sent to stakeholders. At a prior company, I appreciated having Excel and Word documents stored in Optro for collaborative access and editing, similar to how you do on Google Docs.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think the commenting feature on work papers and test tips could be improved. It would be helpful if comments could be tied to exact words rather than just overall comments on the step. A system similar to commenting on Google Docs or Word documents would enhance this feature.

I mostly use Optro for action plan follow-up, with automated notifications to stakeholders. It's easy to use and lets my team keep documents, access, and edit them like Google Docs.

I appreciate the structure it brings to collaboration—multiple stakeholders can contribute (e.g., security, business owner, compliance) while keeping everything centralized and trackable. That visibility helps with prioritization, timelines, and follow-ups, especially when you’re waiting on inputs like questionnaires, assurance docs, or control evidence.

What do you dislike about the product?

Collaboration is centralized, but not always efficient: Even when everything is in one place, it can still be hard to quickly see who is blocking progress (vendor vs. internal approver), what the exact next action is, and how long something has been sitting—unless the system is consistently updated.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Optro is primarily solving the coordination, consistency, and visibility problems that come with risk and vendor-security reviews—especially when multiple stakeholders and lots of evidence are involved.

Intuitive to use the platform and able to get non-audit professionals up to speed quickly

There is opportunity for more customization in ways that better align to what each organization is trying to achieve and then once decisions upfront are made, difficult to then unwind and pivot

It's great for reviewing the work of other auditors, providing organizational consistency. I appreciate that it streamlines audits, execution, and reporting while maintaining clear audit trails and documentation standards. Assigning work papers to staff and reviewing comments, with the ability to go back and see all closed comments, is a feature I particularly enjoy because it enhances organizational consistency. Additionally, the initial setup was pretty easy.

What do you dislike about the product?

I would like the status to be more detailed with options like open, close, reviewed, or submitted. It would be helpful if these statuses were color-coded, like having open with no color, completed in yellow, and reviewed in green. This would help us easily remember or know which step has been completed and which needs review, making it clearer for lead auditors.
