What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use and customisable like running on onprem env.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once your create a postgres with a port using cloud formation it is not possible to change it. You need to delete or detatch the instance from cloud formation and reattach it. Which is not great experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running postgresql locally or in onprem requires tremendous resource which is greatly reduced if i use cloud version.

What do you like best about the product?
It comes with security features and tools required to run a production-grade database, making it a reliable and secure choice for hosting. It is quick to select and even more quicker to instantiate. It is easy to implement as it comes with intuitive settings which any developer can use. It is easy to integrate in most of the languages, We in our organization used it with Java and Golang.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as of now, It's really a superb DB if you want to migrate your data in a hurry.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we used to run PostgreSQL on our on-premise server, we needed to patch the security updates manually. Whenever there was a new version of PostgreSQL, we had to manually update our software. But this is not the case with PostgreSQL on Amazon Linux 2 as it comes with an auto-update feature and the security patches are automatically applied as soon as they arrive.

What do you dislike about the product?
I really dont see any such drawback, but few minor things such as frequent patches, Limited Support and Documentation can be another thing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to process and store millions of data points into my software, so I'm now using PostgeSQL to keep everything running smoothly.
It is possible to manage large datasets effectively and to improve application responsiveness thanks to Amazon Linux 2's optimized performance and ability to scale both horizontally and vertically.

What do you like best about the product?
It is simple to deploy PosgresSQL database on linux server. It is capable to handle large data volumes and transactions. It is reliable to use database for cloud based database use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think anything is there which I dislike about PostgreSQL on Amazon Linux 2 except for the thought that pricing of deployment could be more competitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used PostgreSQL on Amazon Linux 2 to host our related database for our enterprise application. It helps us by providing a performant and scalable database for our application.

What do you like best about the product?
Having PostgreSQL running on a EC2 instance is actually pretty easy to have. The 9.2.24 version has a very stable behavior with a good performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I haven't experienced any downsides to having PostgreSQL on AWS. Maybe it comes down to making sure your SQL syntax is compatible with any other DB engines.

What do you dislike about the product?
Configuration Complexity as it may require in-depth knowledge of both PostgreSQL and the underlying operating system. PostgreSQL might consume significant system resources like disk space, etc.

Ability to scale horizontally and vertically, coupled with Amazon Linux 2's optimized performance, allows for efficient management of large datasets and improved application responsiveness.

What do you like best about the product?
PostgreSQL is the best in terms of features compared to any other relational database in the pool. It is really easy to use and with a normal integration to any software or OS.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think this has any disadvantages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to process and store millions of data into my software so I am using PostgreSQL now to maintain all and the service is working exceptionally well as expected without any lags in the system.

What do you like best about the product?
PostgreSQL is a highly reliable database with strong security.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited support and limited documentation. Amazon Linux 2 will not have any PostgreSQL features. The tool we have to install and utilize in the Amazon Linux 2. Integration is difficult. As it is open source, we will not get easy customer support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As both tools are cost-effective, we can use them with less cost.

What do you like best about the product?
PostgreSQL instance in a cloud is simple to deploy. Automatic snapshot, scaling up and down, redundancy through Amazon's available zone helps in data backup and secured. Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL offers many features like read replicas, backup, recovery, and more. The latest version PostgreSQL database server is version 16 which has notable improvements to query parallelism, bulk data loading, and logical replication.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, there's nothing to dislike, but I would like to add one point from my side: there are so many applications available in the market that MySQL supports all of them, but when it comes to PostgreSQL, it does not support them, which is a big drawback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to fetch specific data which is only required; we just need to run the query to get data from tables.
