What do you like best about the product?

The MDM is easy to use, and its complexity can scale according to the needs of the organization. An essential tool in our Apple device fleet

What do you dislike about the product?

Pushing a one-off change to a single device is more complicated than it needs to be, and the UI doesn’t consistently show who owns the device across all GUIs. On top of that, some devices don’t seem to pick up their proper name and end up with a generic “MacBook Pro” label, which makes them hard to identify.

Iru makes it easy to enroll, deploy, and manage devices and apps.

What do you dislike about the product?

Windows on Iru is still new and has bugs that need to be fixed and needs more features.

It makes managing Mac devices easier and now Windows devices too.

I like Iru's consolidation and ease of use, which makes managing everything smoother. I also value the endpoint management feature.

I find there are not enough customization options.

I use Iru for mobile device management on Mac and PC. I like its consolidation and ease of use.

It's def a step above the Device Management offerings out their in the market today, and onboarding and roll out has been pretty smooth.

What do you dislike about the product?

We can't fully transfer an old device without fully factory resetting.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are scaling so needed a device management platform to help us secure devices along with being SOC 2 compliant

What do you like best about the product?

I like the ease of use of the program. It allows someone with no background in integrations of MDM software to learn quickly and efficiently to better manage their devices. Support is good, either through the IRU AI or speaking to a support representative. I have had no issues with performance, and there have been no issues with connections to the software.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think something that could be improved is ease of access to your Iru account manager. Our organization had a previous rep, and we were not made aware of the change. The good thing is, we had no need to speak to them as the environment is pretty self sustainable once it is set up. Better communication is one thing I would suggest.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The integration of Windows devices for management is interesting. We came on when it was Kandji and only managed apple devices, however, I could see how having the windows option is enticing to other companies and to my own in the future.

What do you like best about the product?

Iru is our primary MDM and helps us manage a mixed fleet of Mac and Windows devices effectively. The single console for device management, endpoint protection, and vulnerability data saves us a lot of time, especially for a primarily Mac shop. I like how Iru has consolidated our tools and provided a one-stop-shop for our fleet management needs. The reporting feature, which allows us to easily pull data, is also a big plus. Passport and Liftoff stand out as some of my favorite features. Passport keeps local accounts in sync with our IdP, so I stop getting tickets about mismatched local logins, while Liftoff ensures users get fully configured laptops from day one, making deployments seamless. Initially setting up Iru was pretty easy, and the team supported the rollout, allowing us to start the phased rollout immediately afterward.

What do you dislike about the product?

I feel Windows management is a step behind, which I kind of expected since it's a Mac-first product, but I'd like them to bring more control for Windows machines as well. I still handle some compliance-related controls with a custom script, which is a bit of a hassle. Also, I find the rebrand created some friction in documentation. Searching for stuff related to MDM has Kandji stamped over it, so it's hard to pin down exact up-to-date information. The AI agents sometimes trip up when I'm searching for solutions online, which isn't exactly a product flaw, but it is a rough edge that I hope will be cleaned up over time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Iru solved tool sprawl by consolidating device management and security, reducing dashboard time and eliminating duplication. The single console saves time, and features like Passport and Liftoff streamline deployments, making fleet management manageable for our small IT team.

What do you like best about the product?

I find Iru simple to use, especially compared to Jamf, which required a dedicated person to manage. One feature I love is the pre-packaged apps, which eliminate the need for us to package apps ourselves. These come with a one-click deployment option, saving us tons of time. I also appreciate that moving to Iru allows us to manage both Windows and Mac with a single app. Additionally, the initial setup was very straightforward with clear instructions, enabling us to connect to ABM within minutes.

What do you dislike about the product?

I find that the Windows device management is not as complete as native Windows management products like Intune. We have encountered limitations with policy and patch management, especially because there are certain requirements for the version or patch level of Windows to enroll in Iru.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Iru manages all our devices on a single platform, including patching, application deployment, policy management, and inventory for over 200 devices.

What do you like best about the product?

One of the standout aspects of Iru is its ease of use. The platform provides clear visibility into all the machines I manage, with flexible filtering options that make it easy to identify potential issues. The rollout of Iru support for Windows machines has also been a significant improvement. In terms of performance, Iru is fast and highly responsive. On the occasions I've needed assistance, the support team resolved my issues efficiently directly through the chat window.

What do you dislike about the product?

One area for improvement, in my opinion, is the Iru AI feature. I haven't found it to be as useful as anticipated, and as a result, we rarely use it. Additionally, I'd like the ability to save a preference for displaying 100 results per page instead of 50. Currently, I have to manually adjust this setting each time I log into Iru.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

With the addition of support for windows machines I am now able to see every machine we have in a singular place. I can also remotely wipe and lock laptops in the case an employee leaves or is let go.

What do you like best about the product?

IRU provides the best experience with Apple administration above any other MDM I have seen. The MDM UI is simple and easy to navigate, and changes to devices happen nearly instantly.

What do you dislike about the product?

I would love to see more with the Windows MDM portion. IRU so far has provided a great foundation for their Windows MDM experience, but I would love to see options that matches Intune's setting catalog.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

IRU has helped us provide a better experience both for our admins and users with how we have administrated our Apple devices. Our previous MDM solution had a clunky Apple MDM experience that took way too long to push changes. IRU provides a streamlined and much faster experience.

What do you like best about the product?

I like the idea around "BluePrints" it really helps me organize my fleet in very refined ways. Overall, the interface is effortless to navigate and follow. There is not a single feature that does not have an explanation next to it, and if by chance I happen not to know what the feature does, I can reach out to the Iru bot, which is surprisingly good. If the bot cannot help, human support is only a click away. I like that I can integrate my Slack so that if I am not logged into my admin dashboard, I still see relevant alerts.

What do you dislike about the product?

This one is minimal, I do not like that I can still see the old logo in some places, but this is purely cosmetic.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Iru is allowing me to keep strong governance on my device fleet. I am able to pass audits easier knowing that my devices have this tool installed. It's also storing most of my device serial numbers and locations so I do not have to jump around to find things.
