Intuitive, Powerful Endpoint Management That Is Getting Better

    Reviewed on Jul 06, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Over the past few years, I've watched Iru grow from a fairly basic MDM into a comprehensive endpoint management platform without losing the simplicity that made it easy to adopt in the first place. The interface remains intuitive, while features like zero-touch deployment and self-service give end users greater autonomy and reduce the burden on IT.

The built-in templates for Library Items and Blueprints make implementation and ongoing management much easier, especially for teams new to MDM. With the addition of EDR and continued expansion of its capabilities, Iru has evolved into a centralized platform for managing security, automation, and device lifecycle across mixed operating system environments rather than serving as just another configuration management tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting and filtering capabilities could be better, more granular in what you can do. Also, smart groups capabilities instead of just using assignment mapping would make for a more robust feature, especially when needing to segment and or isolate a specific part of your fleet for any number or reasons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru helps solve the challenge of managing a mixed OS fleet from a single pane of glass, which in turn saves a significant amount of time instead of having to manage and juggle separate tools for different platforms.

Simple Mac MDM That Saves Hours

    Reviewed on Jun 26, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Iru has made managing our mac devices simple. Compared with more complex MDM tools, it is easy to setup and use. It's perfect for our use case and can handle fleets of Macs with ease. Setting up the integration with Apple Business Manager has reduced hours of manual work. On top of that, Iru’s support team is responsive and genuinely helpful whenever we need them
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say some UI and UX improvements could be added. Ideally a quicker way to setup custom Blueprints. But once the Blueprints are setup they can be duplicated and modifying them for custom tasks is much quicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru has made managing our fleet of Mac way easier.

What do you dislike about the product?
It’s hard to say for sure, since all the necessary features are there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Endpoint management for our iOS devices, keeping our endpoint landscape consistently in the latest, up-to-date state.

Highly recommend Iru to companies who have Mac Users. Small or Large!

What do you like best about the product?
For me and our company, the most useful feature is that all our Mac users can access a Company Portal to self-service approved apps. It also provides a one-stop view of all our Mac devices, which makes it much easier to manage everything in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly don’t have anything to dislike about Iru. We’ve been using it since it was Kandji, and I only have good things to say about the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Mac device management.

Clean Interface, but Overall Experience Falls Short

    Reviewed on Jun 19, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Generally it is a clean interface, it functions pretty well and provides some functionality that is not typical for the sector. It can be cost effective for very basic things.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've used this service for 5-6 years at multiple companies, there have been no noticeable improvements that weren't solely due to improvements to Apple updates to the MDM infrastructure.

Their seemingly unnecessary rebrand forced us to rewrite our user-facing documentation as well as update scripts and other automations. I wasted close to 40 hours just dealing with their vanity project so that my existing systems continue work. They have not themselves updated a lot of their support documentation.

They don't allow even the most basic customization or white labeling. Why can't the name of the Self-Service app be customized to my company and logo? Other suppliers do this (and even Microsoft's "Company Portal" is at least self explanatory).

The API lacks even the most basic listing functionality (e.g. the ability to list all library items in my account or the ability to list all available Auto Apps)

When we migrated for this company I had to write several customer tools to determine the status of machines in the process, because the Kandji migration tool did not provide any status on where a machine was in the process until it was fully migrated.

They moved basic administrative features from the basic product to the EDR product without notice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing macOS devices, onboarding new devices.

Easy to use, with solid reports and clear documentation. Integration with third-party tools is also a plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
The change they made when they swapped the name from Kandji.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automated updates in both apps and macOS.

Business Manager Enrollment + IRU = The Ideal Onboarding Experience

    Reviewed on Jun 17, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
For me, it’s definitely the Automated Device Enrollment integration with Apple Business Manager...it’s seamless. A new Mac comes straight out of the box, the user goes through Liftoff, and they’re ready to start working with everything is already fully configured. I also really like how quickly policies are applied, required apps are installed, and compliance checks are passed without me having to step in. What used to require hands-on guidance now runs unattended and fits smoothly into our current onboarding process, at a reasonable price for the amount of coverage provided.
What do you dislike about the product?
The alert management experience still has room to improve. When Library Items are queued for deployment but haven’t yet reached a device, the alert panel can build up a lot of noise, and those alerts require manual dismissal instead of auto-resolving once the item installs. There also isn’t a bulk “acknowledge expected” action, so during a large deployment window you end up clearing alerts one at a time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance enforcement used to be reactive rather than proactive. In the past we’d discover non-compliant devices through periodic audits. But now Kandji / Iru's continuous policy checks mean we see compliance drift in real time and can remediate before it becomes a finding. Our macOS patching cadence is now measurable and defensible.

Excellent, intuitive MDM solution with a fantastic user interface

    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The simple and easy to use UI makes navigating the dashboard incredibly intuitive and straightforward for managing our devices daily.
The ability to upload our own app packages helps to make deployments easy for end users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Forcing updates of custom apps is a bit tedious because it requires setting up an explicit audit and enforce mechanism every time, but that is understandable as they are custom apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru makes managing our MacBook estate incredibly straightforward. It helps us automate device configurations and software deployments effortlessly. The biggest benefit for us is the continuous compliance monitoring, which ensures all endpoints strictly adhere to the security standards required for our various industry accreditations without demanding manual audits from our IT team.
