Agilewing Uses AWS Managed Service Provider Program to Enable Innovation and 40% Annual Growth

Executive Summary

Cloud innovator and AWS Partner Agilewing wanted to grow its business by giving customers end-to-end solutions and services. Through the AWS Managed Service Provider Program, Agilewing can deliver a complete solution, grow its business by 40 percent annually, and develop creative new solutions to improve content delivery for customers.

Agilewing

Agilewing is one of China’s leading providers of migration, operation, cost optimization, and development services for organizations seeking to transform in the cloud. Since it launched in 2010, Agilewing has been dedicated to creating innovative cloud technologies for customers in financial services, ecommerce, gaming, and a range of other industries.

In 2016, Agilewing became an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner to better serve customers seeking to move to AWS.

“When we started our company, we knew cloud would be the future of IT, and over the years many of our customers began moving to the cloud,” says Battle Wu, Chief Technology Officer and Cofounder at Agilewing. “It made sense for us to work with AWS to deliver the most scalable and reliable cloud technology.” Agilewing has capitalized on its AWS partnership to earn several technology competencies in security, and in 2020, the company was named AWS Partner Network (APN) Consulting Partner of the Year and AWS Security APN Partner of the Year in 2020, as well as Migration Star of the Year in 2021.

Recently, Agilewing sought to offer integrated solutions to its customers. Wu says, “Many of our customers wanted us to offer an end-to-end service that would meet their service-level agreement (SLA) requirements while allowing them to focus more on their core business.”

“Through the AWS MSP Program, we can ensure that we are meeting our customers’ strict SLA requirements and that we can take care of all their cloud operations. This helps them put all their resources into their business instead of focusing on infrastructure.”

Becoming an AWS Managed Service Provider

To help meet its customers’ needs, four years ago Agilewing joined the AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) Program, which validates and promotes AWS Partners who provide managed services on AWS. By attaining the AWS MSP designation, partners can expand and promote their business across four areas: plan and design; build and migrate; run and operate; and optimize. “Through the AWS MSP Program, we saw that we could provide a combination of cloud planning and migration services, cost optimization, operations, security, and performance services, along with technical support,” says Wu.

To qualify for the AWS MSP Program designation, Agilewing completed a series of rigorous assessments before being validated. “The AWS MSP assessment was a helpful learning process for us, and it enabled us to improve some of our internal processes around how we operate,” explains Wu.

Providing a Complete Cloud Solution

By attaining the AWS MSP designation, Agilewing can provide a full end-to-end service to customers, integrating migration, operation, and technical support services into one solution. “Through the AWS MSP Program, we can ensure that we are meeting our customers’ strict SLA requirements and that we can take care of all their cloud operations,” says Wu. “This helps them put all their resources into their business instead of focusing on infrastructure.”

By relying on Agilewing’s managed services solution, customers can bring their products to market faster. Wu says, “When our customers need to do rapid solution testing or explore expansion to a new region, we can help them do that quickly and efficiently by taking care of their operations so they can put their efforts into product development and growth.”
“We have seen rapid growth over the past few years, and we are growing by 40 percent year-over-year by being all-in on AWS. We’re attracting new customers because of the managed services we can provide.”

Expanding Business by 40% Annually

Agilewing has increased its business with its AWS MSP designation, taking advantage of AWS training and support to move into new regions in Asia. “We have seen rapid growth over the past few years, and we are growing by 40 percent year-over-year by being all-in on AWS,” says Wu. “We’re attracting new customers because of the managed services we can provide. Even though we’re a small company, AWS gives us the training and support resources we need to expand at our own pace.”

Helping Customers Improve Content Delivery

As part of its AWS partnership, Agilewing has developed new products such as AgileCDN. Based on the Amazon CloudFront content delivery network (CDN) service, AgileCDN is a solution that accelerates content delivery to websites and mobile apps. Wu says, “AgileCDN improves our customers’ CDN capabilities because it uses a simple user interface and integrates AWS security services with the performance and reliability of Amazon CloudFront. We could only develop this solution because of our close partnership with AWS, which helped us communicate regularly with AWS product teams.”

Agilewing continues to expand its partnership with AWS and plans to earn AWS Competencies in data, analytics, and DevOps. “We are committed to growing our business and creating new solutions that meet our customers’ needs,” concludes Wu. “We’ll be able to accomplish that by growing our relationship with AWS.”
