The flexible recovery options let me quickly restore anything I need, whether that's a single file, a VM, or a whole system. It saves time and storage with incremental backups and deduplication, making it a reliable tool for keeping our IT environment running without interruptions. Overall, it gives me peace of mind knowing our data is protected and our systems can run smoothly without constant worry.

Sometimes the interface feels a bit clunky, which can make finding settings less intuitive. I’d also love more detailed reporting to get clearer insights into backup performance. Setting it up in more complex environments can be a little tricky, so having clearer guidance or tutorials would make things much smoother.

Its simple interface makes configuring backups and restores easy, even for users without extensive experience. Managing both physical environments and VMware virtual machines is smooth, with fast and accurate restore procedures at both file and full‑machine level. The software delivers excellent performance and strong stability in daily operations. Another key advantage is the effortless integration with S3‑compatible storage. Connecting cloud buckets such as AWS or Backblaze takes only a few steps and enables the creation of hybrid or fully cloud‑based backup strategies with ease. Overall, NAKIVO combines usability, speed, and flexibility, making infrastructure protection a straightforward and dependable process.

At this time, I don’t have any negative opinions about the product. Everything has worked smoothly so far, and I haven’t encountered issues that would lead me to view it unfavorably.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication is helping me centralize and automate the protection of both physical systems and VMware environments, reducing the time spent on manual backup tasks. I like many things about NAKIVO. First, it is a very efficient solution for backups and the recovery time is minimal. Then, its ease of use with a user-friendly and smooth interface is a big positive point. Finally, NAKIVO's support is very responsive to every little issue.

What do you dislike about the product?

The real-time replication feature still requires some improvements. For example, when the target system fails, the replication fails and does not restart automatically even if the target system becomes functional again. It is always necessary to restart manually, whereas a script could be implemented to monitor the status of the target system and automatically restart the job. Moreover, when the RTR job is in progress, backups cannot be performed on the affected virtual machines, which requires manually stopping the RTR job to start the backup, an action that could be automated.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication helps us recover quickly after an incident, integrating well into our business continuity plan. It offers efficient backups and rapid recovery of virtual machines, Office 365 objects, and shared files on NAS.
