Unmatched Support and Cost-Effective Backup Solution
What do you like best about the product?
I really like NAKIVO Backup & Replication's Flash Restore feature, which helped us quickly determine if the restore point was clean from ransomware. The Immutability feature offers assurance that we are protected from good backups being wiped out. The cost is also a huge plus—it is 10 times less than our previous option. I appreciate its configurability as we are not limited by software restrictions or poor features, making it very robust. Most importantly, the live phone or Google Meet support with a software engineer is invaluable. Setting it up was very easy as NAKIVO assisted via Google Meets. Additionally, the excellent support made learning the interface much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me a while to figure out the interface, but that's on me. However, with NAKIVO's excellent support, they were able to walk me through until I got it figured out. Hand holding is important when critical restores are at hand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NAKIVO Backup & Replication provides reliable, granular backups of VMs, especially for Exchange Server. Features like Flash Restore ensure clean restore points, Immutability protects backups from being wiped, and the cost is significantly less than other options. Configurability and live support are invaluable.
Efficient Replication with User-Friendly Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I like NAKIVO Backup & Replication because of its great user experience and seamless deployment. It's super easy to set up, and it doesn't consume much storage space, which is perfect for replicating data between production and DR sites without the unnecessary use of local storage. The solution aligns directly with what the customer needs in terms of replication, unlike my experiences with previous products. I switched from Acronis and Altaro by Hornet Security because NAKIVO doesn't require backing up locally before replicating, saving storage and data space, and it offers better customer service and pricing.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication enables us to replicate data between our production and DR sites easily without consuming much storage space. It avoids the large storage issues we faced with other solutions and fits the customer's needs.
Reliable, Fast, and Fairly Priced Backup Solution
What do you like best about the product?
We were looking for a reliable and fast backup of our companys Office365 mailboxes and a couple of virtual machines. After evaluating a couple of solutions Nakivo turned out to be reliable and fast while being priced fair.
Support always answers fast and onboarding sessions are very helpful.
The modern frontend makes it easy to use and setup was fast.
We do daily incremental backups and weekly full, both have a satisfying speed.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing so far ...works great. We had a problem with some of the mailboxes but that was resolved.

fast backups and it's working with our old DELL tape library.
Excellent Value Alternative to Veeam Backup

It’s a great alternative for companies that don’t need all the features of Veeam Backup and restore at a very competitive price.

I love the process automation for backups offered by NAKIVO Backup & Replication, as it allows me to schedule server backup tasks without the need for manual intervention. This ensures that backups are performed on time and minimizes the possibility of operational errors. I also highly value the immutable copies, which ensure that backups cannot be altered or encrypted by ransomware. This capability provides exceptional security by ensuring we always have an intact and recoverable copy of the company's information. Additionally, the initial setup of NAKIVO Backup & Replication was quite simple, even without prior experience with the tool, which was a relief. I have jobs for VMware vSphere backups every day, which is a quick specific example of how I use it.
I only do backups for recovery purposes, specifically for disaster recovery.

The best feature that NAKIVO Backup & Replication offers is the Kingburn interface.
The ease of use is what makes the Kingburn interface so valuable to me.

What is our primary use case?
We use NAKIVO Backup & Replication to replicate our workloads, as we run the VMware vSphere environment, allowing us to replicate those servers or VMs from production to DR.
Recently, just a few weeks ago, we had an issue with our storage on which the VMs were hosted, and thankfully, because we were running NAKIVO Backup & Replication, we had already replicated the servers from production to DR, so when the storage in production went off, we were able to bring up the servers at the DR site without any interruption, with just minimal data loss.
What is most valuable?
NAKIVO Backup & Replication has been useful; in terms of licensing, it is way cheaper than other solutions, and setting it up in terms of implementation was easier and not difficult to do. The user interface is friendly and straightforward to use.
The best features NAKIVO Backup & Replication offers in my experience include the VMware replication jobs, which allow us to schedule the replication of servers at specific times and move them as quickly as possible. The Change Block Technology (CBT) aspect helps us check if data has really moved without even turning on the server, by just looking at the reports that have been sent, making it a beneficial feature.
NAKIVO Backup & Replication has positively impacted our organization by providing much cheaper pricing compared to other solutions, which means we have saved more money, and integrating it with our solution, the VMware vSphere, is not challenging.
What needs improvement?
It would be helpful if NAKIVO Backup & Replication could explore other areas such as UNIX environments, like IBM AIX server versions, since most of the core banking applications sit on those, which we need to back up and integrate.

I have been working in my current field for over a year, and I have been using NAKIVO Backup & Replication for over two years, with a year in my previous employment and more than a year in the current role.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
NAKIVO Backup & Replication is generally stable in my environment as it relies on the network to do its migration, so while it is stable overall, a stable network is necessary for it to run effectively.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
NAKIVO Backup & Replication is easy to scale up; we recently deployed a number of transporters in our two environments, making scaling straightforward.
How are customer service and support?
My experience with customer support for NAKIVO Backup & Replication has been largely positive; they are mostly available on weekdays, but if you need assistance on a weekend, you have to notify them in advance, making weekend support a bit challenging.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have had experience using Veeam, but my institution was using a different solution that lacked efficient replication features, leading us to switch to NAKIVO Backup & Replication, which offers easy use, flexibility, and a user-friendly interface. Previously, we were using Iperius, which was not too efficient.
What was our ROI?
I do not have much information on the return on investment, but I can say that if we were to go for other solutions such as Veeam, we would have paid much more, considering the number of servers we use in our environment. In terms of money, we have saved more, and because we are able to replicate everything from production to DR, we can now seamlessly work in any environment we want without needing many employees, as just one person in a single pane of glass can handle the switching.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing NAKIVO Backup & Replication, we evaluated other options, including Veeam and Iperius. Since Veeam charges per instance and had high costs based on the instances, we opted for NAKIVO Backup & Replication, which charges per number of sockets and does almost everything Veeam does, making it a better choice for us.
What other advice do I have?
I think NAKIVO Backup & Replication is a good tool and I would recommend it to anybody.

Reliable backups and fast support
What do you like best about the product?
The operation is straightforward, and the support responds very quickly. The price-performance ratio is also convincing. Backups can be scheduled effortlessly, and any error messages are clearly understandable. Restoring data also works reliably. The installation went smoothly, and setting up the backup jobs was intuitive. It is particularly positive that support is also quickly available for remote sessions if needed. Nakivo runs around the clock without failures, and the backups are always performed reliably.
What do you dislike about the product?
Restoring individual files from a virtual disk is somewhat cumbersome with ext4 partitions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nakivo does not cause problems, and if problems arise for other reasons, Nakivo solves them.
