NAKIVO doesn't require Windows Server, which keeps our licensing costs low. The web interface is excellent for both operators and end users. Customer support has always been helpful and quick to respond.

What do you dislike about the product?

Choosing the right license level can be a hassle when you're starting out, especially if you have specific requirements. The lack of macOS support has been the biggest drawback when presenting NAKIVO as an all-encompassing backup solution to clients.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

As an cloud services provider, NAKIVO solves the core problem of protecting both our own infrastructure and our clients' workloads while keeping the economics viable.

What do you like best about the product?

Simple to use, very easy to understand, and with a straightforward UI. It also integrates seamlessly with VMware. The pricing is very good, and the support team was very helpful, explaining everything clearly before we bought.

What do you dislike about the product?

I would prefer an integrated agent that I can ask for advice and for guidance on industry-standard procedures.

The backup has worked fine so far.

I really like NAKIVO Backup & Replication for its easy-to-use, reliable, centralized backup solution. The web-based centralized management portal is fantastic because it can be accessed from anywhere at any of our sites, making management much easier than having to remote onto each Hyper-V host to make changes. The pricing and customer support are also great, and the initial setup was very easy, only taking about 30 minutes. I also felt supported, as their team quickly assisted with a remote session to fix a weird issue.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication provides an easy-to-use, reliable, centralized backup solution. Its web-based portal allows access from anywhere at our sites, simplifying management without needing to access each Hyper-V host individually.

What do you like best about the product?

I’ve been using NAKIVO Backup & Replication for some time now, and honestly it has been a very reliable solution for us.

I had to use it multiple times in real situations, not just for testing. I restored systems to previous versions, moved virtual machines from one server to another, and used it when an upgrade or system change was not reliable and I needed to go back to a previous restore point. Every time, the restore was successful and smooth.

The interface is simple, the backup jobs are easy to manage, and the recovery process gives you confidence when something goes wrong. For me, the biggest value is knowing that when I need to restore, NAKIVO actually works.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with NAKIVO and would definitely recommend it to any business looking for a reliable and cost-effective backup and disaster recovery solution.

Backup and restoring work well, and I also like getting email notifications when jobs are successful.

What do you dislike about the product?

Restores on other servers are performed via iSCSI, which involves creating volumes on the server. This process is somewhat opaque.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I backup and restore Virtual machines, this process is quit easy.

What do you like best about the product?

I like that NAKIVO Backup & Replication rolls the whole process into one application, both creating the backups and getting them into the cloud using our own S3 storage. The GUI is pretty straightforward and easy to use, and the support is top notch. I find it very easy to set up with the help of AI to guide me through the setup and documentation. Additionally, it ties in with Amazon S3 storage which is useful for us.

What do you dislike about the product?

It would be nice to have a pricing option for smaller users like ourselves, we have much more capacity in our license that we'll ever need. We have a 10 machine license and only a single machine. Perhaps a single user / machine license to include up to 3 or 5 VMs would be a useful offering for smaller businesses.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication simplifies backup by combining creation and cloud storage in one app, using our S3 storage. The GUI is straightforward and easy to use, with excellent support.

I like the simplicity in operating NAKIVO Backup & Replication. It offers very good reporting, and it's easy to use. The initial setup was very easy and straightforward.

What do you dislike about the product?

The only thing is the pricing. For a really small and simple environment, it comes quite pricey.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves reliable backup for our Hyper-V infrastructure using alternative storage like Synology.

Product is very easy to setup and start using, any problems are dealt with quickly by the exellent support staff.

So far I have yet to find any issues and anythat are encountered are quickly rectified by support.

I like having Nakivo as a single product to protect both our virtual and physical assets.
