Fortinet FortiRecorder-VM Network Video Security Review Pros and Cons

    Reviewed on Apr 13, 2023
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about this product are the video-capturing security features and policies which we make to set up. This product is straightforward and practical and comes in virtual and physical forms. However, if you want to use it, you can make it more accessible through the Fortinet FortiRecorder-VM Network Video Security GUI. It analyses your network traffic as well based on your enable option.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not find any issue related to this product, and it always satisfied and surprised with the new update and new features, so from my end, I say I don see any dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a safe video surveillance system that aids businesses in making workplaces safer so that workers are protected, property is protected, and threats, thefts, and vandalism-related losses are avoided.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Fortinet FortiRecorder-VM Network Video Security

    Reviewed on Apr 11, 2023
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
In contrast to having to save the configurations and download the backups to local devices, the ability to back up the configuration into the cloud was something I liked. You have centralized control and visibility over everything coming to you with FOrtinet video surveillance. You have an integrated and user-friendly video surveillance solution to safeguard your staff, assets and properties when you combine smart FortiCamera, FortiRecorder network recorders and Forti Central video management software.
Setting it up is quite simple. I appreciate how simple it is to use the visibility and monitoring capabilities to keep an eye on traffic. AI is used in many features, and we now use it all.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with multiple reporting tools would be helpful. We need this, and it's absent. Integration for reporting would be advantageous. Network video security is superb
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Both on-site and cloud deployments are available. When it comes to our local network, we utilize the on-premise version, and when it comes to our cloud-hosted workspaces, we use the cloud-based option. We have the most recent edition.
