    Overview

The Leostream platform - consisting of the Leostream Connection Broker, Leostream Gateway, Leostream Agent, and Leostream Connect clients - allows organizations and service providers to build a hosted desktop and application (VDI or DaaS) environment customized for their needs. The unique vendor-neutral approach adopted by Leostream enables IT to manage - and end users to access - hybrid environments, including AWS, VMware, Nutanix, and a range of the other technologies, all from a single pane of glass.

Using Leostream's flexible pools, plans, and policies, organizations can satisfy any end-user requirement while managing AWS compute costs. Leostream pools launch and terminate EC2 instances automatically, based on user demand or based on an administrator-defined schedule. The Leostream Agent monitors the user's remote session, allowing administrators to shutdown or terminate instances automatically when users disconnect, log out, or are idle.

Leostream protocol plans allow organizations to choose from a wide variety of commodity and high-performance display protocols, including RDP, VNC, HP RGS, Teradici PCoIP with HP Anyware, and Mechdyne TGX. By mixing and matching display protocols, organizations can save money by investing in high-performance options only for users with graphic intensive needs.

The Leostream Gateway provides remote access to network-isolated AWS instances, using RGS, TGX, RDP, or the built-in HTML5 RDP, VNC, and SSH viewer.

With Leostream managing user connections, users have access to their required desktops and applications hosted in AWS, with the performance they demand, from wherever they may roam.

With Leostream, you build it, we connect it. From anywhere, to anything, for anyone.

    Highlights

    • Automates control of compute capacity in AWS EC2, including launching, shutting down, and terminating EC2 desktop instances based on user demand.
    • Simplifies remote access for users with desktops hosted as AWS EC2 instances isolated in private networks.
    • Supports high-performance display protocols to allow complex, graphics-intense applications for Oil & Gas, Media & Entertainment, and Engineering & Design to be hosted in AWS.
