Nasuni Edge for Amazon S3

I work in a service provider company that manages different clients including Biogen and several other customers whose names I do not recall. I do not employ Nasuni's security protocols as I only work on NFS and CIFS.

Nasuni's unified file storage approach helps my customers manage data across global locations because the unified file version is very supportive, allowing management from a single console without the need to log in on every box.

The primary benefits my customers see from using Nasuni overall are file sharing and a unified file share.

I assess Nasuni's role in minimizing operational costs by reducing local hardware needs as definitely beneficial because, when in the cloud, you do not need to spend or deploy hardware. Nasuni also provides Dell hardware that allows for low storage capacity on-premises, centralizing all file shares and ensuring only the latest data is available, making it a good product from a cost and operational perspective.

From an admin perspective, Nasuni has various valuable features. The GUI is very good, upgrading is very easy, and DFS is very easily manageable.

Compared with other products, the snapshot feature is beneficial because it creates a snapshot every five minutes, allowing me to provide restores very easily to customers.

Data protection is enhanced by the fact that Nasuni uses S3 technology to create snapshots every five minutes and enables versioning, so the snapshot is created and I can utilize that snapshot for disaster recovery or restore purposes.

I assess the value of global file locking and caching for reducing latency as good, giving it a five out of five.

I would improve Nasuni by addressing the performance issues we sometimes face on the base file share, which must be fixed, and granting some leverage to the admin to perform administrator-related tasks without needing to engage Nasuni support for every activity.

From a NAS perspective, all the features provided to date are good, but there is an issue related to performance that must be improved.

I do not know whether Nasuni has improved the capacity license issue since it still occasionally requires fixing, or I need to approach Nasuni support team for assistance.

I think Nasuni's technical support is very helpful as they respond immediately. Once I log a ticket, they respond without long waiting times, and an expert is always available to provide end-to-end support.

I would rate Nasuni's technical support as nine point five out of ten.

Whether my clients purchase Nasuni directly from the vendor or from a third-party depends on the situation. Sometimes customers purchase directly, while other times they involve me, and it is usually around fifty-fifty. For new customers, I suggest going with Nasuni, whereas existing customers have usually already made their purchase.

I work with customers in Europe and the US, and I think Nasuni is already popular in those regions.
