The AI investments by cloud hyperscalers continued growing their public IP pools at a torrid pace. In the continental US, AWS's us-west-2, us-east-2 and the nascent us-south-1 saw large buildouts in public IP assignments. AWS's EU regions eu-south-1 , eu-central-1, eu-west-2, and `eu-south-2...

Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You choose from four plans for this IP geolocation API. Pay-As-You-Go For Developers has no contract; you pay only for the requests you make, which suits testing and prototyping. The other three are monthly plans with included request allowances that rise at each level: Startup includes 30K requests, Business includes 300K, and Corporate includes 1M. Support scales alongside volume. Business adds Priority Email Support with a Next Business Day response. Corporate adds Same Business Day response plus SOC 2 attestation. Pick the plan that matches your expected monthly request volume and support needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one API request for billing purposes?
Each call to the IP location API counts as one request. A single IP lookup that returns city, country, currency, and security attributes is one request. Batch lookups count each IP address in the batch separately. Your monthly allowance and any usage charges track the number of requests you make.
What happens if I use more requests than my plan includes in a month?
Startup, Business, and Corporate each include a fixed monthly request allowance of 30K, 300K, and 1M respectively. If you expect to exceed your included amount regularly, move to a plan with a higher allowance that matches your volume. The Pay-As-You-Go plan has no allowance; you pay per request used.
How does the Pay-As-You-Go plan differ mechanically from the monthly plans?
Pay-As-You-Go has no contract and no included allowance. You pay only for the requests you actually make, which suits testing and prototyping. The Startup, Business, and Corporate plans bill monthly with a set request allowance included. Those plans suit steady production traffic at a known volume.

Fastah API is easy to use and accurate
Reviewed on Nov 22, 2022
Review from a verified AWS customer
Fastah API was straightforward to integrate and has been reliable since. Over time we have measured the accuracy against known IP locations and found it to be amazingly accurate. There are so many rural places that can be way off in other API. Fastah API does a great job even in these rural geographies. We have also measured performance and found it to be excellent for our medium volume scenarios. All in all, we have a had an excellent experience with Fastah API and continue to use it.
