You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run this software on. All 22 dimensions bill the same way, so your cost scales with the compute capacity you select. The options fall into families: t2, t3, and t3a burstable instances and m3, m4 general-purpose instances. Within each family, sizes range from medium up through larger multi-core types like 2xlarge, 4xlarge, 10xlarge, and 16xlarge. Larger instances carry a higher hourly rate. Pick the instance that matches your workload; you can change instance size to adjust both capacity and cost.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each unit is one hour that your chosen EC2 instance runs this software. The instance type you select sets the hourly software rate. You pay for the running time of that single instance, measured by the hour it stays active.
The software rate meters running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS storage or other resource fees may still apply while the instance is stopped, but those are separate from this hourly software charge.

After deployment, you can access your application at http://<public IP>. (It might take up to 15 minutes to be available post-deployment). The machine is accessible via SSH, default username: ubuntu. Where relevant, app login credentials are available on message of the day (and /etc/motd).
