Reverse SSH for remote updates in rural Nepal
We deploy hundreds of computers to schools in remote areas of Nepal. To keep those computers up-to-date with new code and content, we configure them with Reverse SSH from Salient.
When we have updates or a school computer has maintenance issues, we Reverse SSH into the computer from Kathmandu headquarters and get full access. This saves days of travel delays that would otherwise be needed to service the computers.
Set up was easy. We easily added some custom script to the standard Salient install code for our special needs.
