Cloud sharing has transformed secure file collaboration and remote teamwork across locations
What is our primary use case?
Dropbox Business - Enterprise is being used across our entire organization to transfer large files that normally cannot be emailed. We also receive large documents on a regular basis from our customers and clients that have the need to send us large volumes of data. We needed a secure way to send and receive these documents, and that is when Dropbox Business - Enterprise came into our minds and we started to use it.
A recent time I used Dropbox Business - Enterprise for transferring files was when I had to send a large amount of documents securely, and I found Dropbox Business - Enterprise to meet these needs without issue. We can send either one large document or volumes of documents securely. Co-authoring does not work from our desktop, and the documents must be accessed from Dropbox for that to work. I appreciate Dropbox Business - Enterprise because it is very easy to use. All our employees and our clients are able to use it with minimal supervision, especially when we have employees who are scattered in different locations with several working from home and one working out of state. Dropbox Business - Enterprise enables us to collaborate on workflow and to share documents across all various locations in which we have our employees.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I previously used Box and Apple iCloud.
I switched from Box and Apple iCloud to Dropbox Business - Enterprise because it works better across multiple platforms without taking up too many resources locally.
I moved away from Box and Apple iCloud because Dropbox Business - Enterprise offers much more cost-effectiveness compared to those solutions. It is also very easy to use, very secure, and promotes collaboration among my team members, clients, and customers globally.
How was the initial setup?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that the price is relatively very competitive, cost-effective, and affordable because it offers ample storage space for all our files. The setup is easy, and I have not encountered any challenges so far.

Since we started using Dropbox Business - Enterprise, we have seen some measurable return on investment. For example, it has enabled easy organization and access to documents for compliance purposes. It has been a very helpful tool, especially saving us time by sharing files faster and collaborating on files easily. It has also increased our security in my organization, boosting file sharing security and efficiency in project development by improving how easily we can share project files.

I have additional thoughts about Dropbox Business - Enterprise as there have been countless occasions when someone asked me for a file while I was away from my desk. I would rate this product nine out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
Secure file sharing has transformed collaboration and now streamlines external client work
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Dropbox Business - Enterprise is that I have been using Dropbox personal for over eight years, and when we began to look for a solution for file sharing, our first instinct was to use our internal network. However, we soon found out how challenging it can be for people to figure out how to navigate shared devices. On top of that, we needed to share files with multiple users who are not employees and don't have access to the network in my organization. Dropbox Business - Enterprise allowed us not only to share files but also to organize and back up important financial and other important documents for more redundancy without the fear of losing local data.
In my day-to-day work, I use Dropbox Business - Enterprise to share files with individuals outside of our network, and it is easy to quickly access via Dropbox Business - Enterprise app. This is a significant advantage.
What is most valuable?
The best features that Dropbox Business - Enterprise offers include secure file sharing and seamless integration. It is easy to use.
Out of those features, I find secure file sharing, seamless integration, and ease of use all very valuable in my work. Every feature counts, and it is very important, especially when it comes to secure file sharing. The secure file-sharing capability with external users and features like expiration are highly valuable. This ensures that sensitive information is shared securely while maintaining control over access to the files.
Additionally, seamless integration has allowed us to integrate it with software such as Adobe and Microsoft, enhancing our experience as software engineers. This integration allows for a smoother workflow and increased productivity. The simplicity of the platform enhances usability for both new and experienced users.
Dropbox Business - Enterprise can capture activity reports of licensed users and all activity across Dropbox. I can share data in and out of Dropbox easily, and reports of data files shared with non-licensed or out-of-the-firm individuals are easy to generate. Data encryption and security protocols for the business are excellent. Dropbox Business - Enterprise also permits secure partnerships across its platform with additional software providers such as Adobe and Microsoft. It is also easy to remove and add new licenses, scan for lost data, recover data, and clean data.
Since we started using Dropbox Business - Enterprise, our file security has improved. It is easy to share files with my team members or other people from outside my organization, thus increasing collaboration.
When I talk about improved file security and increased collaboration, I have noticed measurable changes such as fewer lost files and increased security of the files and other data services by eighty percent. Additionally, Dropbox Business - Enterprise has enabled easy organization and access to documents for compliance purposes.
What needs improvement?
Dropbox Business - Enterprise needs to be improved, especially in Google Doc integration, which is not so seamless. There should be document searching that is seamless. The desktop tool is not as robust as compared to the mobile app version.
For how long have I used the solution?
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Dropbox Business - Enterprise is very stable. I have not experienced any downtime or lagging.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I previously used Google Drive , and the reason why I switched from Google Drive to Dropbox Business - Enterprise is because Dropbox Business - Enterprise does a better job in document organization and sharing compared to Google Drive.
How was the initial setup?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing shows that the price was competitive compared to other alternatives. The setting was easy and straightforward.
What about the implementation team?
We are completely customers, and we do not have a business relationship with Dropbox other than being a customer.

I have seen a return on investment with reduced cost, quicker development turnaround, reduced management hassle, and improved collaboration between clients and team members.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Dropbox Business - Enterprise, I evaluated other options such as Google Analytics.
What other advice do I have?
I do not have any problem with sharing files with clients because it is secure and easy. The support is very great, and the user interface is seamless. It is very user-friendly and intuitive. I do not think there are any problems that I have noticed since I started using this platform.
My advice for others looking into using Dropbox Business - Enterprise is that it is well-suited when you need to organize files that need to be shared among a group of people. It has the added benefit of automatically providing documents. Dropbox Business - Enterprise has a great, granular level of security, as well as the ability to provide an upload folder for our clients to send files with. I would say Dropbox Business - Enterprise is less appropriate if you need to do collaborative editing on a document. While there is Google Doc integration, it is a little bit difficult to get the setup and running consistently.
I also love the ability to have Dropbox Business - Enterprise folders accessible from Finder. It makes it seem that your cloud storage is local, but you do not take up space on your hard drive. Dropbox Business - Enterprise makes it easy to share files with anyone, externally or internally, thus promoting collaboration. I would rate this product an overall eight out of ten.

Secure collaboration has transformed daily workflows and supports remote access across our teams
What is our primary use case?
Dropbox Business - Enterprise is my main use case, and we use it every hour, every minute, and every day, making it an integral part of our daily routine. It is an outstanding tool that provides excellent value at a low cost for storing data. We have complete control over who can access our files at the folder and file levels, and it is smooth to use with an excellent user interface that offers various storage options for our business.
Logging in gives us easy access to all our data, which I treasure deeply. I can access it from any location where I have an internet connection, making it very convenient even while working remotely or at home. Our company benefits from its assistance in managing and growing as an organization, and as a professional, it is a must-have tool that keeps our files safe.
We can share files with other team members and collaborate effectively, while Dropbox Business - Enterprise updates our work on the go and enables us to keep in touch, particularly using the mobile app. It is easy to use on all devices including my smartphone, desktop computer, and tablet, and we can send files through this method in addition to text and email.
A specific example of how my team uses Dropbox Business - Enterprise in our daily workflow is that we have been able to share files securely and collaborate on them effectively from department to department and from one team member to another, thereby promoting collaboration and teamwork throughout my organization.
In addition to this, we are also able to upload files to an uploader folder protected by the service's high security, and I appreciate the stability it provides, which allows us to be more productive. The system integration and numerous sharing options are also valuable features.
Dropbox Business - Enterprise helps me collaborate with external partners or clients through file sharing, enabling effective collaboration.
What is most valuable?
Some of the best features that Dropbox Business - Enterprise offers include device management, file organization, user role management, file search, access control, document collaboration, versioning, and video files.
The feature I find myself using the most, which is the most valuable to me, is document collaboration, as it enables us to edit files and attach comments easily in real time. The access control is also excellent because we can control who can access the files and at what time, including different levels of access such as view only or permission to edit. The file search is a very crucial feature that allows us to easily find files and search within multiple files, thereby saving a lot of time.
Additionally, I find file organization to be a standout feature, as it allows me to choose where the files will be stored and manage individual user storage, which includes control over the file organization structure.
Dropbox Business - Enterprise has positively impacted my organization because it has been really helpful since we started using it, adding more security to our files and other data. It is very effective because it allows me to access what I need easily, offers huge space at a cost-effective level, and I appreciate the user-friendly interface and nature of the tool. It has also provided our business with the ability to offer 100% to our employees in our industry, which was not an option previously.
In terms of the 100% offering to our employees, Dropbox has enabled us to produce better email and text marketing strategies, gaining international attention and increasing our ROI within a two-year period of 15%.
What needs improvement?
Some areas for improvement in Dropbox Business - Enterprise include the addition of multiple admins, as having only one would be outstanding. I find using the desktop application to be challenging compared to the mobile app version, and there is also a company blocking it for security concerns.
I would also appreciate the feature that allows visibility of who last modified a file, as that would be beneficial.
I would like to see more aggressive customer support, especially when we need immediate attention.

Family sharing and personal backups have improved how I manage and access my files anywhere
What is our primary use case?
I use Dropbox on a personal level and do not use it for work. I know some of our projects do, but I have a personal Dropbox account.
My main use case for Dropbox in general is personal storage, file management, and family sharing with family members.
What is most valuable?
I really enjoy Dropbox. I have been using it for probably 15 to 20 years. When they first came out, I jumped on the bandwagon, so I have had them ever since. I do enjoy the family sharing plan, so my entire family can use my one plan and my data storage, and we can have shared files or private areas for their own files. That is great. I love the backup features.
Dropbox does have reporting capabilities. I do not use them much because I use it on a personal level, but I have seen the reporting and analytics that you can get from Dropbox. It is about on par with other cloud-based services. It gives you the same analytics: who has accessed what and who has shared what files, and your basic analytics.
What needs improvement?
I am not fond of their syncing. Their file syncing is very clunky, so I am not a real fan of the file syncing. I think Box does a much better job of the syncing of data onto desktops and laptops.
When you try to sync the files in Dropbox, it actually puts a copy of the file on your laptop, so it sucks up all of your memory. Whereas with Box, I can sync files into my file explorer and it is still cloud-based. They have not saved the file physically onto my laptop. They save it in the cloud and it just does a temporary download and then it uploads again, but that file is not saved on my laptop. Whereas with Dropbox, anytime you want to sync on your laptop, it actually does save it. There is a way to set it up, but it takes a lot more work and effort and I have never been able to get it to work the way I want it to work. So I just do not sync my files with Dropbox on my laptop. That limits my ability to use Dropbox from my work laptop because my work laptop just does not have any memory at all on it. They give the bare minimum of memory and say that it should all be in the cloud anyway, so you do not need to have that much storage space. So I cannot even access Dropbox from my work laptop and have to use the browser version of Dropbox if I need to access my Dropbox from my work laptop.
Within the company, it is a personal choice. Our company has not dictated what cloud service to use. As long as it has all the security measures that meet the standards of our IT department, anyone can use whatever cloud service they want. For example, our company is not allowed to use Google because Google is not a secure cloud service in the estimation of our IT department. So there are cloud services that we are not allowed to use, but from the five to seven different services that they give us to choose from, we all can find what meets our needs.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using it for probably 15 to 20 years.
How are customer service and support?
I have not really had to use their customer support, so I suppose that is a good thing. I really have not hit many brick walls where I have had to ask for customer support. But when I have, I want to say that it has been adequate. I do not have any bad memories. I do not have any great memories. They just come in, do what they need to do, and get out.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before Dropbox, I used Box. Dropbox, I think, for me was primarily focused on personal accounts and small business for a number of years. They were not really focused on corporate or large company support. They are just now, really in the last two to three years, getting into meeting the needs of business customers more than personal accounts. I see a lot more options for businesses as far as enterprise-level options and add-ons, including signing features similar to what Box offers. That has only come in recently with Dropbox. So they are starting to play catch-up because Box is really working hard to earn large corporation business. I think that Dropbox is losing out to Box. They are fixing that now in the last three to five years. They have been really focusing in on business so that they can be competitive.
What other advice do I have?
I would probably give Dropbox Business - Enterprise an eight. I think that there is still a lot of work to do on it.
Dropbox Business - Enterprise is intuitive. I really do believe that it is very intuitive in its use and functionality, so that is a huge thing for me. It is easy to get in and play and try and do things, and you really do not break it that easily. I believe my parents who are in their 80s use my Dropbox account, and it is good for people that are older.
I think Dropbox Business - Enterprise would be a solid enterprise application for a mid-level company. I am not sure they are quite up for a large top-tier company, but for a mid-level company with 50 to 100 employees or 100 to 200 employees, they would be fine. It would be good. My overall review rating for this product is 8 out of 10.
