Irdeto Control is a high-performance and highly scalable multi-DRM solution at the center of OTT content delivery activities. Generating keys for content encryption, administering content usage rules, and issuing playback licenses is done simply and reliably with industry leading SLAs up to 99,999%. In addition, Irdeto Control gives service operators the confidence to scale their business, grow their revenues, and enjoy peace of mind even during high peak events.
With its capabilities, media companies are enabled to quickly introduce new OTT business models and accelerate revenue growth by addressing new customer segments and increasing average revenue per user (ARPU).
Irdeto Control also supports concurrent stream management. Its unique approach is app agnostic and does not require custom code to be developed or maintained at the application or platform level. It prevents any attempt to circumvent the systems' heartbeats, enabling operators to accurately enforce content and service usage rules in real-time.
Irdeto Control also implements geo-IP enforcement capabilities for streaming services to dynamically perform blacklisting and whitelisting of subscribers' device IP addresses, offering vast flexibility to enforce geo-restrictions from a subscriber level, content level or both. Based on subscribers' location, media companies can deploy targeted strategies by country, region, or city. The capability also include innovative tools to detect and block VPN and proxy services, impeding any attempt to circumvent the geo-restrictions.

Pricing
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

A separate dimension sets your guaranteed throughput, measured in DRM licenses issued per second, to handle peak demand. Throughput sets how many DRM licenses the service can issue per second. This handles peak demand, like a high-profile live event. It is billed separately from your license blocks. Blocks cover total volume over the period; throughput covers the instantaneous rate. Both apply on the same contract.
