Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. Each dimension maps to a specific instance type, spanning general-purpose (m3, m4) and burstable (t2, t3, t3a) families. Sizes range from medium up to 16xlarge, so pricing scales with the compute capacity you choose. You are billed only for the hours each instance runs, with no upfront commitment. Larger instances carry a higher hourly rate to reflect more CPU and memory. Pick the instance size that fits your Strapi workload and combine it with the underlying AWS infrastructure cost.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the size you pick, billed per hour. A t3.medium unit is one t3.medium instance running for one hour. Larger types like m4.16xlarge give more CPU and memory per running hour. You count units by how many instances run.
The software charge meters running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software fees. Underlying AWS storage costs may still apply while the instance is stopped. Restarting the instance resumes hourly software billing automatically.
Hossted provides applicative support for the open-source application, including troubleshooting, usage guidance, and 24×7 availability. Support plans come with a dedicated account manager and a management dashboard. Support-plan details are arranged separately from the hourly instance charge shown in the table.
