P4 Cloud bills by usage across three separate dimensions that add up on your monthly bill. You pay for Seats, measured by user capacity per server per hour, so cost tracks how many users you provision. You pay for Storage, based on total instance capacity in GiB per month, with the first 64GiB included free. You pay for Egress, the data transferred out of P4, charged per MiB, with 64GiB of monthly egress included. These dimensions scale independently as your team, data, and transfers grow.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one seat for billing purposes?
A seat is a unit of user capacity provisioned on your P4 server, metered per server per hour. Cost tracks the number of users you provision, not just those actively working. Billing accrues hourly, so it reflects how long that capacity stays available.
What happens to my storage and egress charges if I go past the included amounts?
You get 64GiB of storage and 64GiB of monthly egress included. Beyond those amounts, storage bills per GiB per month for total instance capacity, and egress bills per MiB transferred out of P4. Only usage above the included amounts adds charges.
Which dimension usually drives the largest part of my bill?
Seat count often drives cost for teams provisioning many users, since seats meter user capacity per hour. Storage grows with large binary assets like 3D models and design files. Egress rises with frequent large data transfers out of P4. All three bill independently on the same invoice.
