This contract uses two independent usage-based dimensions. You pay based on Million Viewing Hours (MVH), which measures the volume of content watched across your streaming platform. You also pay based on CPM, the cost per 1,000 ad impressions delivered. These dimensions cover separate parts of the platform: MVH tracks viewer experience analytics, while CPM tracks ad monetization analytics. Neither is a tier of the other. Your cost scales with your actual streaming and ad delivery volume, so charges rise as viewing hours and ad impressions increase.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one Million Viewing Hours (MVH) unit for billing?
MVH measures the total content watched across your streaming platform, counted in blocks of one million hours. The platform captures every viewing session with no sampling, so all playback time contributes. This dimension covers viewer experience and quality-of-experience analytics.
What does the CPM dimension charge for?
CPM stands for Cost Per Mille, meaning cost per 1,000 ad impressions delivered. It covers ad monetization analytics, tracking events across the ad delivery chain from request to completed impression. Every ad event is captured, so your charge reflects actual impression volume.
Which dimension drives most of my bill — MVH or CPM?
Both bill independently and appear together on the same invoice. MVH grows with total viewing hours, so it dominates for high-watch-time content. CPM grows with ad impressions delivered, so it dominates for ad-heavy inventory. Your mix of streaming and advertising determines which weighs more.
