The openEuler operating system software carries no license fee. You pay only the hourly rate tied to the AWS EC2 instance you run it on. Each dimension maps to one arm64 (Arm-based) instance type, billed per hour of use. Instances range from small shared-CPU sizes up to large multi-core and bare-metal configurations. Pricing scales with the size and family of the instance you choose, spanning general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and burstable options. You pick the instance that matches your workload, and billing follows the hours that instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension maps to one arm64 EC2 instance type, billed per hour it runs. The openEuler software carries no license fee, so the hourly charge you see reflects the software layer on that instance. You separately pay AWS for the underlying compute, storage, and network usage.
Hourly charges apply only while an instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS storage tied to a stopped instance may still incur separate AWS fees. The software meter tracks running hours only.
You are billed per hour for the specific instance type you run. Moving to a larger size within a family, or to a bare-metal configuration, changes the hourly rate for the hours that instance runs. Each instance bills independently, so running several at once adds their hourly rates together.
