Highlights
All openEuler OS AMI's include cloud-init support. The default cloud user is set up to be 'openeuler'. After the machine is running, you will be able to log in as this user and run privileged commands with sudo.
All openEuler OS images are built with SELinux set to enforcing mode.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
This listing is free software, so you pay nothing for the openEuler operating system itself. Pricing here reflects only the AWS hourly infrastructure rate for the arm64 instance you run it on. Each dimension maps to one arm64 EC2 instance type, billed per hour. The many options span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and accelerated families, plus sizes from nano and medium up to metal and 48xlarge. You choose the instance that fits your workload; larger or more specialized instances carry higher hourly rates. Charges scale with the size and family you select, not with any software fee.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get for the hourly rate, since the software is free?
You pay only the AWS infrastructure rate for the arm64 EC2 instance you launch. The openEuler operating system itself carries no software charge. Each dimension maps to one instance type, so the rate reflects that instance's compute, memory, and storage profile, billed per running hour.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or powered off?
The hourly rate meters running time. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly charge. Note that attached storage may still incur separate AWS fees while the instance is stopped, but the listed per-hour rate applies only while the instance runs.
Does moving to a bigger instance change my bill automatically?
No automatic upgrade happens. You choose the instance type and size yourself. When you launch a general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, or accelerated instance, that dimension's hourly rate applies. Switching to a larger or more specialized type means you select and launch it, and the new rate takes effect.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
