AWS GreenOps consists of three iterative phases:

• Inform: to provide visibility and allocation of carbon emissions so your business has a clear view of what AWS resources are being used and what will be used in the future.

• Optimise: to strategically reduce your carbon emissions. This phase involves reducing services or upgrades you no longer need, automating, rightsizing resources, optimising databases, and other recommendations.

• Operate: to help your business create and adopt a GreenOps framework that provides continuous carbon emission reporting and courses of action to reduce that number.
