A Security Gap in Cloud Networks
Restricting egress connections from your cloud network is an important part of your overall cloud security posture. This important control point is often ignored or inadequately secured, leaving a gap in your security. Cloud Workloads are often left with unrestricted access outbound to the internet, allowing any malicious code that penetrates your network to operate more freely and communicate data to external systems.

The customer end-user, (optionally assisted by "Learning Mode"), specifies Allow Lists of Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs) or wildcarded subdomains for each cloud workload. The ADEPT product evaluates each DNS request and allows only those requests specified in the lists for the requesting resource. The ADEPT software applies Zero-Trust concepts using Allow Lists only and does not have the concept of Deny Lists or Block Lists. If an FQDN or wildcard entry does not allow access to a domain, then it will be blocked. This best protects your cloud workloads from unnecessary accesses that could lead to exploitation and data leaks.
