You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run. This preconfigured software carries no separate license fee; the rate reflects the underlying compute. Each dimension maps to one AWS instance type across several families. The t-series and micro/nano options suit lighter workloads, while c-, m-, r-, and i-series types offer more compute, memory, or storage capacity. Larger sizes within a family (medium, large, xlarge, 2xlarge) cost more per hour. You pick the size that fits your workload and scale by choosing a different instance type.

The appliance bundles Tomcat 10.1, the Apache web server, an OpenJDK Java runtime, a MySQL-compatible database, a web control panel, and SSL support. The software is free and open source, so it adds no separate license fee. Your hourly charge reflects the underlying compute you run.
Software charges meter running instance-hours only, so a fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly rate. Note that a stopped AWS instance may change its IP when restarted, and underlying AWS storage fees can still apply separately. You control cost by starting and stopping the instance as needed.

Usage instructions
System initialization
After launch, browse to http://<Public_DNS>/ and complete the first-boot configuration, or connect by SSH using the key pair selected at launch.
Operating system access
Connect using SSH as the Linux user admin with the selected EC2 key pair. Run privileged commands with sudo; this provides full OS-level administration.
Application access
Open http://<Public_DNS>/ in a web browser. The application may redirect to HTTPS after configuration.
