AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the software, and the rate depends on which EC2 instance type you run it on. Each dimension maps to one specific instance size, from small shared instances up to large memory, compute, storage, GPU, and bare-metal types. Pricing scales with the capacity of the instance you pick, so larger instances carry a higher hourly rate. You choose the instance that fits your memory and performance needs, then run it as long as you want. Billing stops when you stop the instance. No upfront commitment applies.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get when I pay the hourly rate for an instance tier?
You get the Valkey 8.1.6 in-memory data store running on Ubuntu 22.04. It arrives auto-tuned to use 75% of the instance RAM, with append-only file persistence and auto-generated credentials. The hourly software charge sits on top of the underlying AWS instance cost for your chosen tier.
Am I charged the software rate when my instance is stopped?
The hourly software charge meters running time only. When you stop the instance, the software billing stops. Note that stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but that is separate from this product's hourly rate. No upfront commitment applies either way.
Does the software charge change if I move to a larger instance size?
Yes. Each dimension maps to one specific instance type, and the hourly software rate differs by tier. Larger memory, compute, storage, GPU, or bare-metal instances carry a higher hourly rate. Switching tiers means you pay the new tier's rate from the hours it runs.
