Overview
Vitis Unified Software Platform enables you to leverage the power of AMD Xilinx adaptive computing platforms to accelerate diverse workloads like Vision & Image Processing, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Quantitative Finance, High-Performance Computing (HPC) and others. Using Vitis, you can develop FPGA-accelerated algorithms in familiar programming languages like C and C++, without any prior RTL coding or FPGA design experience. The Vitis 2024.1 Developer AMI includes the following: Vitis Core Development Kit - Comprehensive developer tools to compile, analyze and debug Xilinx Runtime Library (XRT) - Open-source standardized software interface that facilitates communication between the application code and the accelerated-kernels Vitis Target Platforms for Alveo Accelerator Cards (Alveo U200, U250, U50 and U55c) Vitis also offers a rich set of FPGA-accelerated performance-optimized libraries that can be used in your applications as-is, modified to suit your specific needs - You can optionally add these libraries from GitHub to your developer AMI Note: This Developer AMI supports application development using Vitis 2024.1 and is not meant for deployment (hardware runs). If you are interested in developing an FPGA-accelerated application for deployment specifically on the Amazon EC2 F1 FPGA instances, please use the FPGA Developer AMI : https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B06VVYBLZZ?ref=cns_srchrow

Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
