The Construction Analysis System (CAS) is the DCN Market Analysis database of historical contract awards. Data is available monthly from 1967 to the present, at the individual project level for all non-residential and non-building project types. Single-family residential data is available as summarized totals by county. The database is updated 2 weeks after the end of each month. Project characteristics include project type, square footage, dollar value, number of dwelling units, story height, new projects vs. additions vs. alterations, county location, public vs. private ownership, building framing method, Dodge Report number, etc. Clients who have their own economic model for predicting future demand for their products will often use the monthly CAS data as a critical input for driving that model and predicting future demand.

This listing uses a single pricing dimension: Product Access, measured in units. It is a free sample offering, so there are no paid tiers, usage add-ons, or instance sizes to choose from. The one dimension simply grants subscribers access to the product. Because pricing is free and structured around this single access unit, there is nothing to scale or compare. You subscribe to gain access without upfront commitment or variable usage charges.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one unit of Product Access on this sample listing?
One unit grants a subscriber access to the sample product. Because this is a free sample offering, the unit meters access rather than usage volume, seats, or data. Subscribing provides entry to the product content without measuring how much you consume.
Does subscribing to this free sample create any usage-based or variable charges?
No. The single Product Access dimension is free, so no usage-based, per-seat, or overage charges apply. Access does not scale with data volume or activity. You gain entry to the sample without upfront commitment or variable fees tied to how you use it.
What construction data does this sample give access to?
The sample connects to the vendor's construction intelligence data, which tracks commercial projects from pre-planning through completion. The broader dataset covers project activity, firm relationships, specifications, and historical construction records. This free sample provides an access point to evaluate that data before considering paid offerings.
