    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

SSH to the instance and login as 'ubuntu' using the key specified at launch.

n8n 2.21 is pre-installed under the root environment. Since it does not start automatically on boot, follow these steps to launch it manually:

Switch to root user: sudo su

Start n8n with HTTP session compatibility: N8N_SECURE_COOKIE=false n8n start

By default, n8n listens on port 5678.

Note: Running the command above will start n8n in the foreground for testing. Ensure port 5678 is properly opened in your AWS Security Group. For production deployment, please refer to the official n8n documentation to configure permanent environment variables, set up an HTTPS reverse proxy, and switch to a production database like PostgreSQL.

Additional information on connecting via SSH may be found at: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/AccessingInstancesLinux.html
