Semaphore on AWS - Self-Hosted DevOps Platform with Websoft9 Console
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance size, so pricing scales with the compute, memory, and storage capacity you choose. Smaller general-purpose instances cost less per hour, while memory-optimized, compute-optimized, storage-optimized, and GPU instances carry higher hourly rates that match their resources. You install the platform through the vendor console on a single EC2 instance. There are no separate tiers or add-ons; your rate depends solely on the instance type you select and how many hours you run it.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get with each hourly instance dimension, and how do I count usage?
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type running the platform. You install it on a single virtual machine through the vendor console. You are billed per hour that the instance runs. Compute, memory, storage, and GPU capacity vary by instance family, so pick the size matching your workload.
Am I charged when the EC2 instance is stopped or paused?
The software charge meters running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue hourly software fees. You may still pay underlying AWS storage costs for the volume while stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
How does hourly billing behave if I switch to a different instance type?
You are billed at the rate for whichever instance type is running each hour. Moving to another instance family changes your hourly rate to match that dimension. There are no separate tiers or add-ons; your rate depends only on the running instance type and hours used.
