This managed security service comes in three contract tiers: Essential, Advanced, and Pro. All three include the same access setup: 1 client user and 1 web user. The tiers scale on two capacity limits. Essential covers 32 readers and 25,000 cardholders. Advanced doubles that to 64 readers and 50,000 cardholders. Pro reaches 128 readers and 100,000 cardholders. You pick the tier based on how many card readers and cardholder records you need to support. Pricing is a fixed contract per tier, so cost rises as your reader and cardholder capacity grows.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one reader in these tier limits?
A reader is a card reader device installed at a controlled door or access point. It scans credentials for entry. Your tier caps how many readers the service supports: 32 for Essential, 64 for Advanced, and 128 for Pro. Count each physical reader against this limit.
What happens if I outgrow my tier's reader or cardholder capacity?
Each tier is a fixed contract with set caps on readers and cardholders. To support more devices or records, you move to the next tier. Advanced doubles Essential's capacity, and Pro doubles Advanced's. There is no automatic overage; you select a tier that fits your capacity needs.
Which capacity limit should drive my tier choice — readers or cardholders?
Both scale together across tiers, so pick based on whichever you hit first. Essential covers 32 readers and 25,000 cardholders. If you have many doors but fewer records, or many records but fewer doors, choose the tier that satisfies both limits at once.
