Pixop FILE uses AI-powered super resolution and restoration to upscale and enhance video for media teams - accessible via web app and API with no infrastructure to manage.
Pixop FILE - AI-Powered Video Enhancement Platform
Pixop FILE is a cloud-based video processing platform that uses deep-learning models to enhance, restore, upscale, and convert video content. Media and content teams use Pixop FILE to improve video quality without investing in on-premise hardware or manual remastering workflows.
Key Capabilities
AI Super Resolution and Upscaling - Upscale video from SD to HD, HD to 4K, or 4K to 8K using trained neural networks that reconstruct detail and sharpness
Video Restoration - Remove noise, compression artifacts, and other degradation from archival or low-quality footage
Frame Rate Conversion - Convert between frame rates with AI-powered motion interpolation for smooth playback
Transcoding - Encode to modern codecs and containers for delivery across streaming, broadcast, and OTT platforms
Batch Processing - Process multiple files through automated workflows via the web application or REST API
Select enhancement, upscaling, or conversion filters and apply them to your media
Download processed results or integrate output into your delivery pipeline
All processing runs in Pixop's hosted cloud environment - there is no infrastructure to provision or manage on your side.
Integrations
Mimir Media Asset Management - Connect Pixop FILE to Mimir for automated ingest-to-enhancement workflows, enabling media teams to trigger video processing directly from their asset management pipeline
REST API - Integrate Pixop FILE into existing media supply chains, automation scripts, and third-party applications using the documented API
Use Case: Broadcast Archive Restoration
A broadcast team with decades of SD catalogue content can use Pixop FILE to upscale and restore footage to HD or 4K quality for re-release on modern OTT and streaming platforms. Rather than costly manual remastering or re-shoots, the AI-driven pipeline processes content at scale through the web app or API, delivering enhanced assets ready for distribution.
Pricing
This AWS Marketplace product uses usage-based pricing measured in Pixop Credits. Charges are based on your actual use of Pixop services, including video processing, storage, and downloads. There are no upfront commitments or fixed subscription fees.
Subscription Requirements
An active AWS Marketplace subscription is required to upload, download, process, and store video data in Pixop. If the subscription is cancelled or no active subscription is linked, Pixop may disable upload, download, and processing access and delete stored video data after a brief grace period unless the subscription is reactivated. See Pixop documentation for details.

Highlights
AI-powered video enhancement using deep-learning super resolution models that upscale video from SD to HD, HD to 4K, or 4K to 8K while reconstructing detail and sharpness. Additional filters restore degraded footage by removing noise and compression artifacts, convert frame rates with motion interpolation, and transcode to modern codecs for streaming and broadcast delivery.
Fully hosted cloud platform with no infrastructure to provision - access via an intuitive web application at app.pixop.com or automate at scale through a documented REST API. Process single files or batch workflows without investing in on-premise GPU hardware or manual remastering pipelines.
Integrates with Mimir media asset management (https://mimir.mjoll.no) to enable automated ingest-to-enhancement workflows, allowing media teams to trigger AI video processing directly from their existing asset management pipeline and deliver enhanced content to downstream distribution systems.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay through a single unit: Pixop Credits. Credits cover all activity, including video processing, storage, and downloads. Usage is metered as you go, so your bill reflects what you actually consume. Different operations consume credits at different rates. Processing filters and encoders are calculated per output gigapixel. Storage is charged per gigabyte per month, prorated daily. Downloads are charged per gigabyte. Pixop rounds credit amounts per billable item and reports whole credits to AWS Marketplace. There are no tiers or fixed plans; total credits scale with the volume and type of work you run.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
How is one gigapixel of processing counted, and what happens with small clips?
Gigapixels are output width times output height times frame count, divided by one billion. Each filter or encoder is counted separately using its own output resolution and frame count. Pixop rounds each item down to a whole gigapixel, with a minimum of one billable gigapixel per item.
When are credits actually charged, and am I billed for failed jobs?
Processing and encoding credits are metered only after a job completes successfully. Failed jobs are not metered as completed processing. Download usage is checked hourly and metered in a later cycle. Storage is checked and metered once daily. Billing records may appear later than the activity that generated them.
Do I keep paying for stored video if I cancel my subscription?
No. An active linked subscription is required to upload, download, process, and store video. If it is cancelled or expires, Pixop may disable access and schedule stored files for deletion about 30 minutes later. Re-linking a valid subscription before deletion can cancel it. After deletion, files may be unrecoverable.
