You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you choose to run this preconfigured PHP framework stack. The dimensions are not feature tiers. They are different AWS instance types, grouped into families: compute-optimized (c-series), general-purpose (m-series and t-series), memory-optimized (r-series), and storage-optimized (i-series). Within each family, sizes range from nano and micro up to 2xlarge. Larger sizes carry more CPU, memory, or storage, so the hourly rate rises accordingly. You can stop and restart instances to control cost, since billing follows actual usage.

You pay for the software appliance running on an AWS EC2 instance, billed per hour of running time. The rate reflects the instance size you pick. The appliance bundles a PHP framework, a database admin frontend, a mail transfer agent, and web-based administration tools.
Hourly software charges follow running time only. When you stop an instance, the hourly software meter pauses. Note that AWS may still charge for attached storage and for a static IP while the instance is stopped. Restarting resumes hourly billing.

Usage instructions
System initialization
After launch, browse to http://<Public_DNS>/ and complete the first-boot configuration, or connect by SSH using the key pair selected at launch.
Operating system access
Connect using SSH as the Linux user admin with the selected EC2 key pair. Run privileged commands with sudo; this provides full OS-level administration.
Application access
Open http://<Public_DNS>/ in a web browser. The application may redirect to HTTPS after configuration.
