AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you choose to run Nexus Repository. The 18 dimensions map to specific instance types across the t2, t3, t3a, m3, and m4 families. Larger instances offer more CPU and memory, so your hourly rate scales with the compute size you select. You are billed only for the hours the instance runs; charges stop when you stop or terminate it. The rate covers the software layer plus underlying AWS infrastructure costs. Premium support with an SLA is not included and can be added separately.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does each hourly instance dimension actually pay for — the software, the AWS server, or both?
Your hourly rate covers the software layer managed by Hossted. AWS infrastructure costs are separate and depend on the instance type you run. Hossted deploys and sets up the software within your own AWS account, so you also pay AWS directly for the underlying compute.
Am I charged when I stop or turn off my EC2 instance overnight?
You pay only for the hours the machine runs. When you stop or terminate the instance, software charges stop once its state changes to shutting down or terminated. Note that stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees separate from the Hossted software charge.
What is not included in the hourly price that I might need to add?
The premium support SLA is not included in the hourly price and can be added by contacting the vendor. Cross-region disaster recovery is also not part of the basic package. Ticket support, built-in SSL, directory connection, migration service, and educational content come packaged with the product.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
