BeVyPN stands for "a Bevy of VPN" connections that you can offer to friends, family members, or other people whom you know and trust. Caution: The BeVyPN offer on AWS is intended solely for evaluation or temporary use and is not designed for long-term deployment, as data transfer exceeding the specified monthly allowance is subject to additional charges imposed by AWS.
BeVyPN allows you to own and manage your own dedicated VPN and this without having any network and security knowledge. With BeVyPN, you setup your VPN service and connect the persons of your choice in record time.
Once connected via BeVyPN to the internet, end users benefit not only from a powerful and highly secured VPN but also from a Proxy and a Firewall. In addition, with BeVyPN you get QoS (Quality of Service) for your network traffic.
With BeVyPN, you simply ask the application to create VPN accounts. The application records your requests and creates the VPN accounts for you in the background.
Once the VPN accounts have been created, you download the associated VPN profiles and send them to your subscribers by email. BeVyPN can also be configured to automatically email the VPN profiles on your behalf. Finally, you send the passwords protecting the VPN profiles to your subscribers via your preferred messaging App.
First connection: once the deployment has completed, connect to the URL , where is the public IP address of your VM (virtual machine). This URL is also sent to the email address you specified during deployment. Log in using the admin username and the password specified during deployment.
Please note that the application uses a self-signed certificate; therefore, it is normal to receive a warning in your web browser the first time you connect to the application. You can safely trust this certificate after verifying its fingerprint, which is sent to you by email.

BeVyPN is a web application embedded in a dedicated network appliance called the CacheGuard Gateway. In addition to functioning as a VPN server, proxy, and firewall, the CacheGuard Gateway offers many other features, including an ad blocker and antivirus. To fully benefit from all the features provided by the CacheGuard Gateway, you can deploy a CacheGuard Gateway and then activate BeVyPN on it.
Caution: The BeVyPN offer on AWS is intended solely for evaluation or temporary use and is not designed for long-term deployment, as data transfer exceeding the specified monthly allowance is subject to additional charges imposed by AWS.

If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run this VPN software on. The four options—t3a.micro, t3a.small, t3.small, and t3.micro—are different underlying machine sizes, not feature tiers. Each supports the same 20-subscriber capacity. Your hourly rate changes with the instance you pick, so smaller instances cost less per hour while larger ones handle more load. Under this pay-as-you-go model, you pay your cloud provider for both the software usage and the compute resources consumed. You stop paying when you stop running the instance.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one subscriber for the 20-subscriber capacity?
A subscriber is one VPN account you create for a trusted individual. Each account uses a personal client certificate tied to a single device type. You can create up to 20 accounts. Cancelled accounts still count against the limit, so cancel unused ones to free capacity for new subscribers.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped?
You pay by the hour only while the instance runs. Stopping the instance halts the hourly software charge. A stopped instance may still incur AWS storage fees for the disk, but the software usage meters running time only. Stop the instance to stop paying for software usage.
What am I paying for beyond the software itself under this pay-as-you-go model?
Your cloud provider bills you for both the hourly software usage and the compute resources you consume, such as CPU and RAM. Data transfer above certain monthly amounts may also add cost. The software charge and the underlying compute charge combine on the same cloud provider invoice.

The BeVyPN application is based on a CacheGuard Gateway appliance. The CFT (Cloud Formation Template) allows you to properly deploy a CacheGuard Gateway and the BeVyPN application on AWS cloud.
To allow the BeVyPN application to work, its underlying CacheGuard Gateway requires 2 NIC (Network Interface Card). The two NIC are the internal (private) and the external (public) NIC. VPN clients connect to the external NIC and use the Web proxy that accept connections on the internal NIC. The CFT creates the two required NIC, connect them to two distinct sub networks and assigns to each NIC a private IP address. In addition, a public IP address is associated to the external NIC. All AWS resources are created in a dedicated VPC by default.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
The application collects your name and email address and automatically send them in a secure way to CacheGuard Technologies Ltd. Your information is securely stored and will only be used to contact you in regards to the BeVyPN application.
Once the deployment has been finished, connect to the URL https://<public-ip-address> where <public-ip-address> is the public IP address of your VM (Virtual Machine). This URL is also sent to the email address that you specify during the deployment. Login as the "admin" username and the specified password during the deployment.
Please note that the application uses a self signed certificate, and it is therefore normal that you get a warning in your Web browser the first time you connect to the application. You can safely trust that certificate after having verified its fingerprint sent by email.
Offer your subscriber a High Quality VPN, Proxy, Firewall and QoS.
