Each phase is an iterative process that is designed to drive repeatability and predictability in processes and procedures to seamlessly deploy workloads into the AWS cloud. Allow our Cloud Architects to work with your teams to collect and analyze the data from within your environment allowing recommendations to be made based on company or organizations requirements. CDW will be a key part of your migration support team to ensure success. Every customer is different, as a result, their cloud adoption strategy will be unique to them, based on their business needs, compliance requirements, operating model, and available staff. Therefore, its critically important to have a coherent Cloud Strategy that everyone can get behind and execute on collaboratively. As a part of the Strategy and People workstream of the Cloud Foundation Engagement, CDW will work to help a customer refine their existing cloud strategy or draft an initial strategy document, based on inputs/outputs from the various workstreams. To begin; CDW will look at the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and Cloud strategy component helps to accelerate cloud adoption by defining and establishing leadership functions to formulate a clear cloud strategy, establish governance, drive initiatives, and provide oversight around cloud adoption. In addition, our CDW consultants will analyze existing staff and skill sets, identify gaps that would impede successful cloud adoption, and provide persona specific training paths and potential staff augmentation recommendations to ensure smooth transition to an operational state. A CCoE MVP will be identified within this phase to help govern and drive the other Cloud Foundation Engagement workstreams. Our engagement teams, working in conjunction with customer IT domain experts, designs and deploys a landing zone based on industry best practices and customized for an organization’s unique requirements. The required operating and governance models will be developed to prepare for the initial migration to the new Cloud production environment. Updates to required operating and governance models in preparation of application migration is also a key deliverable of the engagement. The Cloud Migration Factory piece of this engagement begins the process of enabling data collection and dependency mapping on the entire in-scope application and workload portfolio. A deep dive is performed on the pilot application set leading to the design of its target state architecture. Migration of the pilot application set will focus on proving out the Landing Zone and getting some initial migration experience. This sets the stage for larger-scale migration efforts.
