A workflow is one automation you build in the drag-and-drop editor, such as a cost alert handler or resource scheduler. An execution is each time that workflow runs. Each plan caps both: the number of workflows you can define and how many executions run each month.
Each plan sets fixed caps on defined workflows and monthly executions. If your automation needs grow past those caps, you move to a plan with higher limits. Moving up is a choice you make; the plans do not scale automatically within a single tier.
