    Overview

Managed Cloud Landing Zone, Your Cloud Journey runway!

Your organization accesses the AWS cloud through AWS accounts. Through many of them, as your company scales.

Each of the accounts is a building block of your cloud infrastructure. Each has a standardized configuration, so that security and accountability are enforced, when your consumption of the AWS services grows. Your cloud infrastructure, user identities and access policies are well defined. Secure by design, with a single pane of glass over multiple accounts or environments. With well structured networking, security groups, and connectivity requirements. All deployed using automated configuration management, so you can scale your well defined and secure environment in a repeatable way.

Welcome to the Managed Cloud Landing Zone!

A cloud landing zone is defined to be all infrastructure and systems required to run your application stacks in the cloud. A landing zone covers elements such as networking, name resolution, automation tasks, remote access, log handling, auditing and platform security. Typically companies develop and deploy Landing Zones as projects. However, a landing zone requires maintenance and changes from time to time. Of course you can use consultants to perform all the landing zone related tasks, but it can be slow, laboursome and costly, and enforce you to create a model of implementing updates only on an ad-hoc basis. Moreover, in cases where you lack in-house skills to manage all the different landing zones in different technology platforms, some platforms may get left completely unmanaged.

Nordcloud has developed an approach to make the use of standardized cloud landing zones easier for you; Cloud Landing Zones as a service, with Nordcloud Managed Cloud Landing Zone.

Our Managed Cloud Landing Zones service includes:

    • Monitoring and incident management for landing zone(s): monitoring covers the functionality configured by a landing zone, such as ensuring log centralization or network routing is working as expected.
    • Landing Zone updates: Customer Landing Zones are updated twice a year. Nordcloud will collaborate the updates together with your team(s) to roll-out the required changes.
    • Execution of standard landing zone service requests: Our landing zone solution delivers cloud accounts, guardrails and networks. Customers can order ready made sandbox, development and production environments with delivery SLA.
    • Execution of landing zone change requests: as AWS releases new features and services, security and networking best practices evolve. This means that occasionally the landing zone, and all managed accounts, needs to be updated to leverage the latest new designs and updates.
