Overview
What SearchPulse does
SearchPulse takes a natural-language query and returns a structured answer that an AI agent or knowledge pipeline can reason over directly.
- GET /v1/search?q=your+query returns a written answer (mode=standard) or a research-grade response (mode=deep), along with the search queries that were run and the source URLs used as citations.
- The answer is generated from live web results, not from a static index, so it reflects current information.
Where the data comes from
SearchPulse fetches live web results and passes them to an LLM that writes the answer. The source URLs are returned as citations so an agent can verify or follow up. If the search service is unavailable the API answers 502 and the call is not billed.
Three ways to connect
- REST with an X-API-Key header, described by an OpenAPI 3 schema (https://searchpulse.waltsoft.net/openapi.json ).
- MCP: the tool searchpulse___search on the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway, for Claude, Strands Agents and other MCP clients.
- A2A (Agent2Agent 0.3): the agent card at https://searchpulse.waltsoft.net/.well-known/agent-card.json with the skill search.
Who it is for
AI agents that need to answer factual questions from current web content, research pipelines that require cited answers, and workflows that need to query the web without managing a browser or scraper.
Billing
You pay per successful call on your AWS bill. A standard call (mode=standard) and a deep call (mode=deep) are both one call. Errors (400, 401, 502) are never billed.
Highlights
- Live web search in one call: submits the query to the web, retrieves results, and returns a written answer with cited source URLs in a single API call
- Two modes: standard for a concise answer and deep for a research-grade response with more sources; both return the same structured JSON shape
- Agent-ready: REST with an OpenAPI 3 schema, an MCP tool on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway and an A2A agent card with the skill search; pay only for successful calls
