Pricing
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use. Runlayer lets our entire team consolidate tool access through a unified governance layer, which makes it easy for both the consumers of those tools and their governance. I wasn’t involved in the initial deployment, but it seems like it went pretty smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an admin the approval process can be a bit clunky. I also wish there was a way to setup new oauth clients globally and not per connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Runlayer to consolidate our team’s tool access through a unified governance layer, making it easy for both tool consumers and governance.

Amazing for security, and for getting clear, easy-to-understand data on what’s being used and how many people are using the MCPS.

Sometimes the security can be a little oversensitive about the information going through MCPs.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the great, knowledgeable support. I appreciate that the documentation is available in an MD file, so I can actually interact with it. That is easy and helpful for me as an admin. I also find the easy scoping of dynamic client registration, super simple OAuth handling with scope detection, and the flexibility to control MCP servers without letting them touch my internal data directly valuable. I set up the initial Runlayer deployment for an enterprise in under a week as a one-person team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I need technically competent people with the correct level of access for a successful deployment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Runlayer for remote hosting of MCP servers, easy scoping of dynamic client registration, and simple OAuth handling with scope detection. It gives me flexibility to control MCP servers without letting them touch my internal data directly.

Great MCP Discovery, But Agent Identity and Permissions Need Stronger Security

What do you like best about the product?
The ability for end users to find approved MCPs and get detailed instructions on adding them into their desired platforms, i.e. cursor, claude code, etc. It performs well and we've had great user feedback from it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The agentic identity solution is not great. Having to log in as the agent account in order to grant permissions to the agent is very time consuming and very cumbersome. Also Agent accounts can naturally bypass tool restrictions put in place at the MCP level. And allowing anyone with the "Developer" role to edit any agent is a major security flaw. Users with this permission can create agents and use those agents to bypass security restrictions we have put in place for specific tools at the MCP level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to manage/control both AI agent identities as well as MCP access. Taking what used to be the wild west of access and giving us more control over what our users can interact with to help limit the potential for a security issue/breach
