1Kosmos BlockID  is used primarily for accounting operations, as there are different portals that need to be accessed to check shipping status, invoice status, and when selling on the Amazon portal. Logging into those Amazon portals involves using user credentials, login IDs, and passwords, and 1Kosmos BlockID  helps everywhere whether selling through Amazon, Shopify , or working on cloud-based ERP .

In daily workflow, passwords cannot be stored by writing them on chit notes, saving them on phones, or using sticky notes. Previously, reliance was placed on Google Authenticator  and another application, Okta verification, which used to help remember login IDs and passwords, but 1Kosmos BlockID is really helpful in that aspect. When logging on a computer system and using 1Kosmos BlockID, it makes logging in anywhere and working on cloud-based products super easy.

1Kosmos BlockID fits into workflow because in account receivable, it's a large-scale business where work is always done on cloud-based products, not on applications. In an entire career of 11 years, only two years have been application-based ERP  called SAP, whereas every other application used has been cloud-based, such as Business Central, Oracle NetSuite, and Workday . 1Kosmos BlockID is instrumental in completing day-to-day needs, enabling smooth logins and password management during eight or nine-hour shifts.

The cloud-based feature of 1Kosmos BlockID stands out because when working on SAP, it often went down due to memory size, but since 1Kosmos BlockID is cloud-based, downtime is not experienced. The second standout feature is the login ID and password recognition; it allows the right person to log in without manual entry of usernames and passwords, making 1Kosmos BlockID very helpful in any situation.

1Kosmos BlockID offers passwordless authentication that eliminates 2FA. It operates through biometric authentications, such as facial recognition and thumb impressions, which are compliant security keys for enterprise applications. Identity verification is another strong feature; if 1Kosmos BlockID recognizes a user, it ensures that the right person is logging in. It uses AI and machine learning to scan government-issued IDs, licenses, and passports, matching them with user biometrics for 100% accuracy. The digital wallet feature also stores user identity information in a private or permissioned blockchain, allowing users to control their personal data. It meets high assurance standards, including NIST 800-63-3 and GDPR, and supports both app-based and browser-based user journeys for onboarding and authentication.

1Kosmos BlockID has positively impacted the organization by enhancing security through eliminating usernames and passwords and storing encrypted user data in a private permissioned blockchain, which drastically reduces the risk of data breaches and phishing. Furthermore, it has improved operational efficiency by streamlining the user experience, reducing help desk calls for password resets and simplifying identity management, thus increasing overall productivity.

In terms of time savings, for a team of 15 people, a monthly saving of around eight to ten hours has been observed after using 1Kosmos BlockID. Before its implementation, the IT help desk faced 300 to 500 calls a month. After using 1Kosmos BlockID, that number reduced to just 70 to 80 calls monthly, significantly alleviating common password-related issues.

For improvement, I suggest implementing optimistic execution that allows nodes to process blocks ahead of time for quicker responses, potentially cutting down block times. Additionally, dynamic block intervals for adjusting based on network conditions could optimize resources, increasing transaction throughput when demand is high.

I choose 9 out of 10 because there are one or two improvements needed. With 11 years of experience, I recognize that others with more experience may find additional areas for improvement, but I am hopeful that future updates will address those.

1Kosmos BlockID is completely stable, and no downtime has been experienced so far; I hope that it will continue to perform well in the future.

1Kosmos BlockID has excellent scalability; the company has 3,000 employees, and it handles them very well, suggesting that it could easily scale to accommodate 20,000 to 30,000 users without issues.

Initially, customer support was contacted for navigation help, and the experience was positive. The support professional was very knowledgeable and resolved the issue within 20 to 30 minutes, providing a well-explained manual guide as well.

Before using 1Kosmos BlockID, 2FA and Microsoft Authenticator  were utilized, which led to numerous challenges such as data breaches and security issues. The transition to 1Kosmos BlockID addressed these concerns effectively, and there is confidence that the right choice was made.

1Kosmos BlockID has provided a return on investment by significantly reducing the need for IT personnel. Initially, ten people were in the IT support team, but with the reduced ticket volume from 300 to 500 to just 70 to 80 calls monthly, only two IT staff members are now required, saving costs equivalent to around 80 lakhs per year.

The experience with the pricing, setup cost, and licensing for 1Kosmos BlockID has been great. Previously, issues were encountered with Business Central where changing the price for one single line item would inadvertently affect all other items, but with 1Kosmos BlockID, the impact is limited to the specific line item. Licensing has also been beneficial, as one of the largest licensors in the USA works with clients such as Disney and Marvel, helping manage contracts effectively and reminding of timelines for price changes.

Other options were not evaluated before selecting 1Kosmos BlockID. It was discovered through the internet and chosen based on the impressive features it offered.

Customer support receives a solid rating of 10 out of 10.

Every organization should consider using 1Kosmos BlockID due to its extensive features that meet the needs of businesses today.

My main use case for 1Kosmos BlockID  is passwordless authentication, and that is the primary feature we use.

I definitely use 1Kosmos BlockID  for passwordless authentication in our organization. We have our resource employee portals and CRM  integrated with BlockID, so every time we log in, we do not have to remember our passwords. Day in and day out, we log in multiple times to our employee portals to approve attendance and service requests, and when we get into the CRM , it is just a single scan of the QR code integrated with our login pages. You see a QR code on our login page, you open the BlockID application on your phone, scan the QR code, confirm it is you, and you are logged in—no username and no password. That is how simple it is.

Regarding my main use case with BlockID, I think it was pretty smooth, and we did not have any problems. It is pretty simple and very easy to understand for every user of the organization, whether in finance or HR. You do not have to be tech-savvy to understand the workflow or how to use it.

We used SSO  with Okta prior to implementing 1Kosmos BlockID, which we still use, but for passwordless authentication, there was no solution before 1Kosmos BlockID.

The best features that 1Kosmos BlockID offers, besides passwordless authentication, definitely include accuracy. When it does the face scanning, it is very accurate and you cannot bypass that. Convenience stands out as well, as you can either log in with TOTP or QR code scanning, and those two options help you out a lot compared to other products.

1Kosmos BlockID has positively impacted my organization primarily by improving security. You do not need to worry about changing or remembering passwords, which often have to be 12 digits long with several criteria. This adds a lot of user convenience, and the QR code scanning is one of the best features I have seen. It saves a lot of time and removes the hassle of remembering passwords, which would often lead to wasted time resetting them, especially while traveling and lacking email access. It has eliminated those challenges, saved time, and enhanced user convenience, while also boosting security since you are using live biometrics.

I do not think there are any improvements needed for 1Kosmos BlockID. After using it for the last two years, we do not see any challenges, and the features we are using are pretty much enough for our use case.

We are satisfied with 1Kosmos BlockID, and I do not see a need for any improvements at least for this use case.

1Kosmos BlockID is definitely stable. We have not seen any issues for the last two years.

Regarding the scalability of 1Kosmos BlockID, it has been stable for our user base, and we have not noticed any limitations. The architecture allows us to add nodes using a horizontal scalability method without challenges.

I am not directly interacting with the support team. However, from an IT perspective, I do not think there would have been any challenges because the SOPs and documentation were so seamless and easy to operate.

We used SSO  with Okta prior to implementing 1Kosmos BlockID, which we still use, but for passwordless authentication, there was no solution before 1Kosmos BlockID.

The integration with other systems in 1Kosmos BlockID was pretty easy. We have integrated it with our in-house tools and the web API available on the web page makes it very easy to integrate with no hassle. We just need to have the right sets of APIs available and it is pretty simple. We do not see any challenges.

I have seen a return on investment with 1Kosmos BlockID, mainly through time saved and consequently money saved. Even if I am saving just a few minutes a day due to password resets for 2-3% of our workforce, that adds up over time. I do not have exact numbers, but time has certainly been saved and user experience has increased multiple times over, which I consider equivalent to an ROI.

My experience with the pricing, setup cost, and licensing for 1Kosmos BlockID was seamless. Our IT team handled the setup, so I was not directly involved. From the user end, it was just onboarding, installing the application on our phones, and enabling biometrics, so it was seamless. The pricing and licensing are aspects I do not have details on as they are unknown to me.

I did not evaluate other options before choosing 1Kosmos BlockID. It was a new product in the market almost two years ago with a unique feature, so we did not look into any other products.

My advice to others looking into using 1Kosmos BlockID is that it is a wonderful product for passwordless authentication. It is very easy to integrate with applications and you should not look for other products for passwordless authentication. I have covered almost everything about 1Kosmos BlockID. I would rate this review a ten out of ten.
