AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance size you choose to run PostgreSQL on Ubuntu 20.04. Each dimension maps to a specific instance type, so pricing scales with the compute, memory, and storage capacity of that instance. Smaller instances like t2.nano cost less per hour, while large instances like x1e.32xlarge or metal servers cost more. You are not locked into a term; billing follows your actual usage. All options include Apollo's hardening and support. Select the instance that matches your workload's performance needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate on each instance dimension actually cover?
Each rate covers the running PostgreSQL on Ubuntu 20.04 software on that specific EC2 instance size, plus Apollo's hardening and support. You pay per hour the instance runs. Underlying AWS compute and storage charges are billed separately by AWS and are not included in these dimension rates.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
The software charge meters running time on the chosen instance. When you stop the instance, hourly software charges stop accruing. Note that AWS may still bill for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but that is separate from the Apollo software rate shown per dimension.
How do I decide which instance dimension to pick, and can I change later?
Pick the instance that matches your workload's compute, memory, and storage needs. Smaller types like t2.nano suit light use; large types like x1e.32xlarge or metal servers suit heavy loads. Because billing follows usage with no term commitment, you can move to a different instance size as needs change.
