CirrusHQ's FinOps Maturity Assessment is a structured two-week professional services engagement aligned to the FinOps Foundation Framework.
Week one: we ingest 12 months of AWS Cost and Usage Reports, AWS Compute Optimizer recommendations and AWS Trusted Advisor findings, score your organisation across the FinOps Foundation maturity domains (Inform, Optimise, Operate), and identify quick-win savings. Typical findings include unused Amazon EBS snapshots and volumes, oversized Amazon EC2 instances, missing Savings Plans coverage, idle Amazon RDS instances, expensive NAT Gateway egress, untagged spend, and opportunities to migrate to AWS Graviton processors for up to 40% better price-performance.
Week two: we deliver a written FinOps maturity report, a backlog of remediations prioritised by effort and saving, a Savings Plan and Reserved Instance purchase plan, an Amazon S3 storage tiering plan (Standard, Intelligent-Tiering, Glacier Instant Retrieval, Glacier Flexible Retrieval, Glacier Deep Archive), a tagging policy, and a 30/60/90-day execution roadmap.
We can deliver the remediations through our managed services team or in partnership with your in-house engineers. Each remediation includes cost-benefit analysis and CFO-ready business case for internal approvals. Finance teams align on savings prioritisation to ensure approvals and execution
