Overview

Product video
Document reuse and subtle editing frequently go undetected when documents appear visually correct in isolation. Over time, this creates networks of related accounts that carry elevated fraud and AML risk but remain approved.
Shufti Document Originality Detection allows companies to rescan historic onboarding documents and identify reused base images, altered identity fields, blended portraits, and tampered regions. The AMI is deployed inside the companys AWS account and processes document images without external data transfer.
The engine compares visual structures across documents rather than relying solely on OCR output. This approach exposes organised reuse patterns and composited identities that legacy checks often miss.
Audits can run both as off-flow, in batches or single checks. Teams can target specific time periods, regions, or products and re-check the customer base at minimal cost without affecting live onboarding systems.
Key Features:
- Detect document reuse across approved customer accounts
- Identify tampered regions and composited identity documents
- Reveal hidden document fraud networks in historic data
Document fraud rarely appears as isolated incidents. Shufti Document Originality Detection enables companies to uncover reuse patterns and silent exposure already present in approved accounts.
Deploy directly from AWS Marketplace to audit historic document integrity inside your companys AWS environment.
Highlights
- One-click AMI deployment and no procurement delays or vendor lock-in
- No changes to production verification flows
- No data leaving the companys cloud providing a full on-premise document analysis

64-bit (x86) Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
Before deploying the Shufti Document Originality AMI, ensure you have an AWS account with permissions to launch EC2 instances and create IAM roles and instance profiles, an active subscription to the product in AWS Marketplace, and a network setup including a VPC, Subnet, and Security Group with HTTP (port 80) open. The recommended instance type is r7i.24xlarge or larger (Nitro Enclave support required).
To deploy, launch a new EC2 instance using the AMI and paste the provided Shufti initialization script in Advanced Details User Data. Provisioning typically takes about 3 hours. After provisioning completes, open the EC2 Console, copy the Public IP of the instance, and access the application at: http://<EC2_PUBLIC_IP>:80.
Ensure the Security Group allows port 80, and if provisioning exceeds 25 minutes, review EC2 system logs or console output. For detailed deployment instructions and API usage, see the full Shufti user guide: https://developers.shuftipro.com/docs/marketplaces/aws/user-guide
