Forlex Platform - BYOC delivers the same governed legal AI as Forlex Platform, deployed so the data plane runs in your own AWS account, giving security, compliance, and IT teams maximum control over where regulated data lives, while Forlex operates the managed control plane. It is built for organizations with strict data-residency, sovereignty, or security requirements: financial institutions, government and public-sector legal operations, and large regulated enterprises. You get source-grounded legal research, document analysis, and assisted drafting with human-in-the-loop review, full audit trails, and tenant isolation, plus an enterprise API for integration. Commercials: a minimum platform fee sized to your project, plus metered ACU usage billed monthly for what you consume; because the deployment runs in your AWS account, BYOC qualifies to retire your AWS committed spend when run on AWS. Pricing and the minimum are agreed per project via a private offer; deployment and integration are delivered through Forlex Professional Services. Forlex provides CloudFormation templates and least-privilege IAM roles to provision the required resources in your AWS account. You are responsible for the AWS infrastructure charges incurred in your account, separate from your AWS Marketplace charges. Security and privacy: a Data Processing Addendum aligned to GDPR, LGPD, and CCPA is available; customer data is not used to train models unless separately authorized; ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type I are in preparation.

Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

This listing runs in your own AWS account (BYOC) and bills on two dimensions. The BYOC platform minimum is a base fee you pay to access the platform. On top of that, you pay for BYOC ACU usage, which is metered by Agent Computational Units. An ACU measures AI usage on the platform and varies with the complexity of each task. All ACU consumption is billed, with no included allotment. Your total cost combines the fixed platform minimum plus your actual metered ACU usage, so charges scale with how much you use the AI.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What exactly does one ACU (Agent Computational Unit) measure for billing?
An ACU is the indicator that measures AI usage on the platform. It varies according to the complexity of each task. A simple task consumes fewer ACUs than a complex one. You are billed for every ACU consumed, since there is no included allotment in this listing.
How do the platform minimum and ACU usage combine on my invoice?
Both dimensions bill at the same time. The platform minimum is a fixed base fee for access. ACU usage bills on top, metered by actual consumption. Your platform minimum stays steady each period, while ACU charges rise and fall with how much AI work your team runs.
Does running in my own AWS account (BYOC) add costs beyond the two Forlex dimensions?
The listing charges the platform minimum plus metered ACU usage. Because it runs in your AWS account, underlying AWS infrastructure resources are your responsibility and billed by AWS separately. Some communication workflows may also require external provider setup with costs charged apart from this listing.
