Waltsoft Newsletter Platform is a fully serverless, multi-tenant email newsletter platform built on AWS. Create and send beautiful newsletters with built-in subscriber management, double opt-in, A/B testing, engagement analytics, and AI-narrated audio via Amazon Polly.
BRING YOUR OWN SES (BYO SES): Each customer sends emails from their own AWS SES account. Your domain, your reputation, your deliverability - completely isolated from other tenants. No shared sending infrastructure.

PREREQUISITES (before using):
- AWS SES account with production access (not sandbox) in your preferred region
- Verified sending domain or email address in your SES
- IAM role named newsletter-byo-ses-* (e.g., newsletter-byo-ses-production) with trust policy allowing arn:aws:iam::283023040015:root to assume it, ExternalId set to your tenant ID (provided after registration), and sesv2:SendEmail permission
- DKIM/SPF/DMARC configured on your sending domain (recommended for deliverability)
SETUP (after subscribing):
- Subscribe and complete registration
- Create the IAM role in your account (CloudFormation template provided)
- In the dashboard, go to Settings - SES Configuration
- Enter your role ARN, SES region, and verified sender email
- Click Verify - a test email confirms the connection
- Start sending newsletters from your own domain
HOW IT WORKS:
- Platform runs in our account (serverless, managed)
- When you publish a newsletter, our Lambda assumes your IAM role
- Emails are sent via YOUR SES account, from YOUR domain
- Bounces and complaints stay in YOUR SES (your reputation, your control)
- You pay SES costs directly to AWS (typically $0.10 per 1000 emails)
- We charge for the platform only
IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS:
- Requires AWS SES production access (not sandbox). Sandbox limits sending to verified emails only.
- IAM role must follow naming convention: newsletter-byo-ses-* (security requirement)
- SES sending limits are YOUR account limits - we do not control or increase them
- Email deliverability depends on YOUR domain reputation and SES configuration
- Waltsoft is not responsible for deliverability issues caused by customer SES configuration
Pricing: Starter at $29/mo (5K emails). Growth at $79/mo (25K emails). Pro at $249/mo (100K emails + Polly TTS).

You will pay recurring monthly usage fees through your AWS bill, while AWS handles deployment and infrastructure management, ensuring scalability, reliability, and seamless integration with other AWS services.
