    Overview

    NetBox Cloud

OVERVIEW: NetBox Cloud is an enterprise-grade, SaaS version of open-source NetBox: the worlds most popular Network Source of Truth.

Every NetDevOps journey starts with documenting network assets and IP Addresses and how they work together. NetBox Cloud forms this source of truth for both physical components and virtual assets. Network automation, Network Assurance, and monitoring tools use NetBox Cloud to push out configurations and monitor changes across the enterprise.

NetBox Cloud simplifies the path to automation through easy, API-driven integrations with standard network automation and monitoring platforms. NetBox Cloud also prevents errors by ensuring that your network source of truth corresponds to the reality of physical and virtual connections.

NetBox Labs offers NetBox Cloud as a fully supported, hosted version of the open-source solution backed by an enterprise-grade infrastructure, security, and capabilities like automatic backup and restore, instant upgrades, staging and test environments, cross-region failover, and custom connectivity options for secure connections. NetBox Cloud adds the operational features and services that enterprise users need to deploy and maintain an authoritative source of truth without the management overhead.

Incredible flexible network single source of truth

    Reviewed on Jun 02, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Single point of documentation and single source of truth for virtually all network needs. Incredibly flexible, you can virtually add any product with a bit of scripting. Community contributions keep the product evolving.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with other open source product you can do virtually anything but you need to script it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are moving towards a single source of truth with full integration between all our solutions. We are implementing a full cycle automation and using Netbox to trigger automation and orchestration workflows via webhooks and ansible scripting. We plan to add the other blocks including observability and operations.

    NetBox Review

    Reviewed on Jun 29, 2022
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I found Netbox quite fine in terms of performance and its functionality. It’s a hub of the full system which proactively ties everything together and can be used for documenting any business irrespective of its size. Documenting customers, managing all their Ips where they are coming from etc has become lightning fast by Netbox. Additionally, we found it relevant to track our devices and their installation location. Additionally, it makes journaling a matter of few clicks, all the notes/ comments can be accessed anytime.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that it is not so intuitive, seems a bit complex to me and has a bit steeper learningcurve. Sometimes, it does not support complex scenarios which are difficult to model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It benefitted us in very limited ways only, I have used it for documenting customers and tracking their Ips in my previous organization and found it to be just okay serving the purpose.

Useful tool for showing systems status

    Reviewed on Nov 23, 2021
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality of seeing the status of all systems, and operational graphs. It assists with flowcharting, and itemizing our systems such as servers and data centers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more tools to create flow charts showing system backups and linking vendor contact information. If there was a toll showing where outages via vendors occured, such as a real-time live map, that would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization such as Itemizing our Data Centers, and connection points.Virtualization is next for us to list our Virtual Machines. TO be able to see our CASB in real-time would be useful.

    Constantly Adding Features

    Reviewed on Oct 26, 2021
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to setup and use. It can be used as the source of truth for your network documentation. It has a great API you can use to connect from other applications/services.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's constantly getting updated. However, this can be an issue as things can move around and change without much of a notice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to consolidate all our documentation into one service.
