Sophos Endpoint Protection delivers unparalleled protection, stopping advanced attacks before they impact your systems. Powerful EDR and XDR tools let your organization hunt for, investigate, and respond to suspicious activity and indicators of attack.
Sophos offers three different endpoint protection packages:
Sophos EDR: The Industrys Most Sophisticated Endpoint Security Solution enables you to detect, investigate, and respond to multi-stage threats across all key attack vectors in the shortest time.
Sophos XDR: A unified XDR platform enables you to detect, investigate, and respond to multi-stage threats across all key data sources including network, cloud, endpoint, identity, and email.
Sophos MDR: Cybersecurity delivered as a service with 24/7 ransomware and breach prevention services and a breach warranty. Integrations allow you to get more ROI from the security tools and technology you use today.

You buy this product per unit, priced by the individual endpoint or server you protect. Pricing splits along two lines. First, you pick a protection level: EDR for detection and response, XDR to extend detection across your wider environment, or MDR for a fully managed service with 24/7 threat hunting and response. Second, you choose the device type: user endpoints or server operating systems, each billed separately. Your total scales with the number of units you enroll. This lets you mix protection levels and device types to match your estate.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one unit for billing — user endpoints versus server units?
You buy per protected device. A user unit covers one desktop, laptop, or workstation running the agent. A server unit covers one server operating system instance. Each device you enroll counts as one unit, and user and server units are billed separately at their own rates.
How do the EDR, XDR, and MDR levels differ mechanically for what I pay per unit?
EDR gives you detection and response tools on endpoints and servers. XDR includes EDR plus extended detection that pulls signals from your wider environment like email and cloud. MDR is a managed service where staff run 24/7 threat hunting and incident response for you. Each level bills per unit at its own rate.
If I mix protection levels across my devices, how does that affect my total cost?
You can assign different protection levels and device types across your estate. Each unit bills at the rate for its chosen level and device type. Your total is the sum of all enrolled units. Adding devices raises cost proportionally; the level you pick per device sets that unit's rate.
