Nutanix Hybrid-Cloud Installation with AWS DR using Nutanix NC2

The Nutanix Cluster Deployment Services provides planning, remote installation, and configuration for a net new Nutanix cluster, up to four nodes with setup for AWS DR using Nutanix NC2.

Important Notes

Nutanix Cluster: This service covers a minimum of three (3) nodes and a maximum of four (4) nodes.

Hypervisor: This service covers AHV hypervisor-based clusters.

Supported Hardware Platforms: Nutanix NX, Dell, Lenovo, and Cisco. HPE at an additional daily cost due to complexity.

Service Overview

This is a fixed scope Service where experienced FR Solutions (FRS) trained and certified personnel perform the following:

Project management

Design, configuration, implementation, and verification of in-scope components

Provide completed Service Deliverables

Conduct knowledge transfer and baseline training up to two hours

Planning

Provides checklists and design requirements with videos helping the customer step-by-step to ensure all items are completed and ready

Coordinates schedules

Validates all items are properly configured for services and scheduling

Assists customer with determining SLA for DR and with AWS setup for DR. *Note: * Additional software like Nutanix NC2 or others to move data from the private cloud to AWS is not included and can be purchased as a separate service.

Physical Installation:

Remotely install up to (4) Nutanix nodes and create cluster

Hypervisor Configuration:

Installs AHV hypervisor software and Prism Pro if purchased as the Nutanix Controller VM.*

• Migration services to move VMs and associated data is available as an additional offering not included in this offer.*

Customer to provide media and license keys

Applies any necessary Hypervisor patches and/or configuration updates to the Nutanix CVM

Nutanix Acropolis (AOS) Configuration:

Creates Nutanix cluster

Configures up to two (2) Storage containers and one (1) Protection Domain

Configures administrative parameters

Authentication (AD/RBAC out of scope)

Call home and email alerts

Prism and Acropolis licensing

DNS, NTP, SMTP, Syslog, SNMPv3

Deploys a single Prism Central instance

Validation:

Validates the installation by reviewing logs and confirming there are no displayed errors.

Executes Nutanix Cluster Check & Diagnostic Test

Verifies Nutanix alerts received by Client

Knowledge Transfer:

Conducts a basic Functional Overview of up to two (2) hours, to: Demonstrate the Nutanix hypervisor and its functionality Service Deliverables

As-Built Guide of the implementation

Knowledge transfer and up two hours of training

Assistance with setup with AWS for Disaster Recovery (additional software like Nuanix NC2 may be required)

FRS is responsible only for performing the Service, as described herein. All other services are considered out of scope. Health checks, Nutanix NC2 installation and setup, migration services of VMWare VMs to the new Nutanix VMs, and post-implementation services are also available for an additional cost. Contact FRS for a custom request including any of the above.

Additional Information

Pricing can be calculated as shown below on a two day per four node cluster basis, so eight nodes will be a four day install with the same rate as the two day installed just doubled. The same pricing follows as more nodes are added in blocks of four. The daily cost is $2800 so a two day install would be $5600, etc. as a basis for the above.
